He was a great player and underrated by our fans because they thought he was lazy.

I don't think the club is to blame for no testimonial I honestly believe Whits wouldn't want the fuss if I am honest but hopefully something will happen as he is in my view one of the best players to play for Cardiff City and scored some of the best goals.

But in meeting him a few times he is a very quiet person who may not want the fuss of A testimonial I might be wrong but if the club can and whits agreed to it something should be done for him

Class player. And one who performed remarkably consistently game after game season after season. Can't imagine too many can match him for assists aside from his own goal scoring contributions.

Could argue we have 2 x Ex City players in that team

Kasper was with us in 2007 albeit on loan

Yet stats put him right up there at the top of yards covered in games in which he played. I always rated Whitts and was sorry to see him go after such great service to the club and entertainment to the support

Merry Christmas and congratulations, Whitts :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

the bbc posted it, and you could submit your players, the likes of connolly is on the list, which blew my mind because mcnaughton isnt. and he was one of the most consistent full backs. no Rog, no chops, or bothroyd, but rossco was on it.

Connolly played a part in 5 promotions during the decade so how could he not be on it..?

surprised at the Leicester players in there...didn't notice them in the championship, didn't really notice Leicester unless it was when we were beating them !

They did well in the Prem though.

Morgan had done well at Forrest and Maguire at Hull. If it's a championship team then those two are in it for their time at clubs other than Leicester really. Andy King was very good for Leicester in championship and Schmeichels time with us added to weight for his inclusion I'm sure. If Marshall had gone on to be a PL success then there is more of an argument to be had maybe.

Kaspers time with ourselves is not included in the decade..it was 07/08 and not many games either.
had he hung around a bit who knows he might have an FA cup winning medal.

That long ago! Yikes. Enckelman not in same league, we've been pretty lucky with our goalies in fairness.

yep. that long. it flies mate.. only 14 games I think but for some reason it seemed more { maybe because we have players now that take 4 years to get to 14 ? }

would you honestly say he's on of the best defenders in the championship. regardless how many promotions he was part of. Oliver Norwood, has been at 3 clubs which have won promotion, that doesn't mean he should be ahead of Whitts.

Mcnaughton i was stating, was more consistent and a far better full back then connolly

I don't disagree. but if your compiling a list to choose from how can you omit someone at 5 promoted clubs in 10 years.

May be some fun to be had assembling our best team of sick notes and disappointments.

In fairness five promoted clubs in ten seasons is going some. Two relegations during which he has basically not featured and then his playing record in recent seasons has to lower his stock. I'm sure Morgan and Maguire wouldn't feature if their careers hadn't pushed on as they have.

Should add that the EFL put out a poll for each position on Twitter, and went by that.

So effectively this is chosen by all football fans.

Many thought Taraabt should have been in the team, but my argument would be he didn't play long enough in the EFL during this period.

But you could argue the same about some who are included, as others have said.

My Favourite Player Ever, The Legend, The Leader AND A Bluebird Forever Mr Whitts Himself. He Is Incredible For Us When He Played For Us. So Sad He Might Never Put The City Shirt On Again For A Testimony.
