JAZZ RICHARDS STARTS : " CARDIFF CITY TEAM TODAY "

Sat Dec 21, 2019 11:33 am

TEAM NEWS: #CardiffCity vs. @pnefc

Jazz, @joshmurphy65, #RG9, Nelson & Bacuna come in.

It looks as though Aden Flint has made a very quick recovery to be reinstated at centre back today. It looked as though he wouldn’t be fit for today’s clash and Neil Harris was incredibly doubtful in his press conference on Thursday, but he has been given the all clear for this match today.

The big news, however, is that Jazz Richards starts a league match for Cardiff City for the first time in almost two years!

It is his first appearance since that win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on the final day of last season, but his first league start since the 0-0 draw away at Sheffield Wednesday on January 20, 2018.

So, Harris has talked him up since coming in, now it’s time for him to deliver, especially with no sign of Joe Bennett anywhere, not even on the bench!

Leandro Bacuna also slots back into central midfield, with Will Vaulks dropping to the bench and Joe Ralls, again, nowhere to be seen. It would appear, in that case, as though he has suffered another injury setback.

Robert Glatzel, after his heroics at the end against Leeds United last week, edges out Danny Ward to start. Gary Madine also comes into the squad with an extremely attack-minded bench at Harris’s disposal today.

Josh Murphy is finally given his chance to impress and it’s about time he starts producing one would think. A big day for him today.

Sol Bamba, after many thought he might be handed his first start since March today, takes his place among the substitutes, too.

Interesting team. See if Jazz can offer anything different. Don’t think there’s much in it between him and bennett ability wise mind.

Totally disagree

Massive difference

Bennett cant run past defence and also gets caught out
