NEIL WARNOCK:
"Again. I don’t know where these stories come from. I’ve seen us linked to a number of players in the last seven to 10 days. Here’s just little inkling into what happens. I get a call about a player, or the recruitment team get a call about a player. I’m a very honest person and sometimes I will just say ‘no’. Or I might say ‘he’s not a bad player, but we’ve got a big group, I need to look at the group first’."
"As soon as you say that. The following day, and I’ve had it since I’ve been here, we’re linked to that player. And it’s not what I’ve said. I just say I’m aware of the player and he’s got good attributes. That’s how agents work. They gather momentum and stories to make themselves look good in front of their players and try to use it to their advantage. If we’re in for a player, hopefully you guys are the last to know. I like to work in secrecy and it should stay between us, the club, we’re going to, and the player’s representatives. That’s how I like to work."
