Gavin Whyte, he’s back in the group and comes into the thinking for this weekend.

We’ve had, myself and a couple of staff, some illness within the group and a few players were missing the other day but hopefully that clears up quickly



Knocks and bruises unfortunately. Few worse. Junior (Hoilett) came off the other evening. Turning everyone around in a short space of time will be difficult.

Gary Madine struggled at the end of the game with his back so we have to see how he goes.

Alex Smithies was unwell the other evening, he should be OK to travel.

Leeds play host to the Bluebirds this weekend at Elland Road in what promises to be an intriguing clash

Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa says he believes not much has changed since Neil Harris has taken over the reins at Cardiff City Stadium - apart from one extremely important thing.

Bielsa was speaking ahead of the two sides' clash at Elland Road this weekend, a fixture which always whets the appetite for both sets of supporters.

The Whites are flying high at the top of the Championship standings, with an 11-point gap now between first and third place opening up.

Leeds have been well placed before in terms of promotion and have blown it - notably last season when Bielsa's side messed up their top-flight bid in dramatic fashion - so there will be no celebrations in South Yorkshire just yet.

Cardiff head north on the back of some decent form themselves, notwithstanding Wednesday night's disappointing defeat to Brentford.

Harris has earned 10 points from a possible 15 since he's taken over from Neil Warnock and although the Argentine manager believes little has altered much in terms of tactics and approach, one key thing has - the results.

When asked directed whether much has changed under the former Millwall manager, he told LeedsLive : "Not a lot. Not a big difference. They change the results.

"It’s a very British team in its way of playing. They really know how to play their way. It’s not easy to face them. What is for them is for us as well.

"Brentford now is 10th in the table, but it’s a team who defends very well, they have a very good offensive play, create a lot of chances. They play well. If they are not in the better position it’s because they suffer with a lack of regularity."

Harris has done a good job turning results around with the Bluebirds after things had gone a tad stale under Warnock. The play-offs are back on the agenda - if they were ever off it.

The huge gap that has emerged at the top of the table is something that Bielsa is not taking too much notice of at present, especially with a stern test in the shape of the Bluebirds next. Any team can beat anyone in this division, he added.

"The difference we are talking is just one information about the reality," he added.

"The team at the bottom can beat the first. The top of the table can lose points with the bottom. The objective is not talk or consider the past or future, just what’s happening now. Try to resolve every match according to its characteristics of the opponent.

"It’s not about them scoring and us scoring. This is just a phrase about the other team. Everybody wants to score and not concede. After you play against different opponent, different realities and different characteristics. Our reality changes every week."

That was devastating. Cardiff’s corner is cleared and Pablo Hernandez, on the right-hand side, sends an incredible diagonal ball 50 yards towards Helder Costa, who takes a touch and slots past Etheridge. Wow.
