And the rumours begin..

From the News Now website.

Can't see that a winger is really needed unless Neil not keen on 1 of Hoilett, Murphy, Mendez or Whyte?

Murphy will be gone , has not played well for months and looks completely lost

While I don't disagree he is a proper winger who relies on confidence. He could have the best game in the world and still find himself on the bench the following week under Warnock. He needs a good run of games to show what he can do and I would fully expect him to do well elsewhere if he did.

he doesn't work back enough ,its not in his DNA. so you can play him if your going to have a real go and allow him to cheat. but in games where you think there might be an overload on the flanks it had to be bench...think he would have to be in a team a lot better than ours to flourish

Spot on. I’ve seen him play in games and for the first half hour he’s great, constantly going past defenders and getting passes and crosses in. He can be our main threat by far.

But then he disappears for the rest of the game, looks like he can’t be arsed and looks poor to ordinary for a couple of games after that and is inevitably dropped.

Hopefully we’ll be able to sell him on but I can’t see us getting anywhere near the fee we paid for back.

I'm with you o that, but somebody posted on another topic that he's homesick :) if he was to leave,it would be for less than half of what we paid, due to his lack of interest,if he wants to move back up north,it's up to him to put in the performance levels that get noticed, or he will find himself out in the cold. :old: :bluebird:

If one goes it would be Murphy.

The bigger question is who’s going to stump up the cash for him.

not so sure about the last bit , there is always a manager that will think he can get more from a player ,especially those players with natural ability which Josh clearly has ....people said we would lose out on Reid, and none of our fans seemed to think Ken was worth 8 mill..

I get where you’re coming from and it’s often the case but I’ll be very surprised if we what we paid or even near it.
We’ll keep an eye on it ..... if it happens!
