Hive heating

Mon Dec 09, 2019 1:08 pm

Just wondered if anyone had it and what they thought?

Also if anyone has it in a 3 story house and if it's possible to heat up different floors separately with it.

I've got it but I'm not sure about whether you can heat floors separately, certainly not on my set-up.

I think you can now have hive valves on each radiator which would let you heat separately but you might want to check that as I'm not certain about that.

Got to say Hive works really well and I wouldn't want to be without it now.

I have hive now and had it in my previous house. If we moved again I would have it fitted again. So easy to use.

The only way you could heat separate floors individually is to have the TRVs replaced with Hive smart TRVs and you can then control each radiator. They are not cheap though. For one it is £54 then it gets cheaper the more you buy. You could just put them on selected radiators.

Hello mate. I got mine done the other day, black Friday deal with an amazon dot.

Since I had my Hive installed, it's amazing. Can schedule heating timer on phone. Can also turn the heating on manually.. Perfect for us, when we out and on way home.. We can turn it on to heat up the house in time for hwne we get home.

We also have 3 floors but not sure how to set individual floors (don't intend to either) but it's working well for us.

Also when we turn it on and it reaches a certain house temperature it wil automatically turn off and heat up when necessary. All energy efficient and that.

Thanks both.

Issue I have is that I got a 3 story house. Ground floor is on one loop to heat then 2nd and 3rd floor on another, so not sure how it works.

Ita really annoying as we have a kinda living/snug room on 2nd floor where we watch TV but have to go up to the third floor to turn heating up... And it's doing my head in
