If we beat Brentford AND Leeds is it possible for top 2?

If we beat Brentford AND Leeds this week, do we all think Top 2 is a possibility?

I personally think it's a huge possibility, because in my eyes if we beat Brentford AND Leeds then that means we are even better than I think we are. I will be so surprised if we beat them both but I think that's the difference from a promotion team and a competitve team just making up the numbers, if we lose both I don't think we'll do very well in achieving the playoffs (maybe but will struggle), if we win just one then I think it gives us every chance of achieving playoffs, however if we win both games this will definitely serve as the catalyst to push us forward and aim even higher than we could've dreamed 3 weeks ago...

to win back to back away games against brentford and leeds, when weve only won 1 away game all season is a hell of an ask, cant see it happening but the good news is weve put ourselves into contention for the playoffs anyway. that should really be the focus.

If we can get rid of some of the dead wood and get a right back and a number 10 (I cant believe im still saying this years and years on) I think we have enough to get into the playoffs

The OP is as both overly positive and negative in the same paragraph.

1. Two wins is highly unlikely, and let’s be honest even if we were to win both games that does NOT make things interesting for top two. It would help us into the playoff positions and possibly remain in them through the Xmas period but looking beyond that top two is a mountain away.

2. The OP says that if we lose both games it will be a struggle to make the playoffs. I think we would still be handily placed to make a playoff challenge.


I feel that we are probably going to lose both games in honest. I base this on that both teams are a significant step up from what we have faced so far under Harris and our team shape will play into the hands of two very attack minded, clinical sides. Had Barnsley been more clinical we would have lost Saturday. Unfortunately whilst results lately have been positive - the performances have not been great.

I kind of agree,Brentford are a good side and people keeping the 7 goal thrashing of Luton in mind,but they have lost 2 of the last 3,with that 7 goal game in between.

Think we might get something at Brentford but Leeds are doing the business home and away so anything would be a good result......don’t think the next 2 games will decide our season but if we could get something from both games it will build even more confidence and momentum.

Top 6 is achievable but we are nowhere near Leeds and WBA level of performance or consistency. Fulham are quite decent but the rest are pretty average so we have a chance at the playoffs in my opinion.

Never thought we would pick a point up from either of these two games, and I think the Leeds game is a damage limitation exercise, they are way ahead of us at the moment. I still believe that a top ten place is about as good as it can get for us, and a reasonably realistic target. Our football so far this season has been distinctly mediocre, and unless we improve, even a top ten finish may be stretching things a bit.
