I heard before that he supposedly made a certain player give him £25k to extend his contract. Didn’t believe it, but you never know.

It's always been rumoured well before he arrived here, he is old school, it's how they did things. It makes you wonder why some extended contracts were given, eg how is Connolly still here

I'd rather just remember him for his management which kept this club from league one football.
