Anyone see that p#$@k doing monkey chants to fred ?

BBC

Anti-racism body Kick It Out says it has been "inundated" with reports of alleged racist abuse from a number of fans in Saturday's Manchester derby.

United midfielder Fred also seemed to be hit by an object thrown from the crowd when the Brazilian went to take a corner midway through the second half.

"We hope swift action is taken to identify the offenders," Kick It Out said in a statement.

Video footage showed one man appearing to make monkey gestures at Fred.

"I've seen it on the video and the fella must be ashamed of himself. It is unacceptable and I hope he won't be watching any football any more," United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said.

United forward Marcus Rashford added: "I wasn't aware of it during the game but it can happen and we've seen it happen lately. The fact it is still happening is not good enough."

With United leading 2-0, a number of objects were thrown by supporters in the home end when Fred went to take a corner in the 67th minute.

The Brazilian moved away from the corner flag before going back to take the set-piece.

City midfielder Fernandinho, along with other home players, urged the fans in that corner to calm down.

Play resumed a few moments later once referee Anthony Taylor picked up a number of objects in that area of the pitch.

Watched it on TV, and saw the stuff being thrown at Fred and Jesse Lingard but didn't see the racial abuse.

Seen it on videos on social media since though, and it's shocking.

The culprit will have easily been caught with all the cameras at those stadiums.

There was also a guy slightly to the right who was cheering and clapping when Fred got hit on the back of the head.
A Ground closure should happen , we criticise when uefa fail to react and now the PL have it within their own powers to throw the book at Man city.

I didn't see the gestures but did see them hurling things at the man u players. Disgusting behaviour. Glad to see man u get the W after their players endured that treatment. Find them. Ban them. No place for it.

if the fa are serious about this stuff and want to stop it a ground closure is the only way, and particularly after the abuse sterling suffered in previous games.

Just seen it now, there are 2 stewards just a few feet away looking right at him. They must have heard and seen it.They're about half the size of him and that may be why they did nothing but surely they could have got the police in straight away?

The bloke making the monkey gestures is total scum. Does make me cross that all the vile, aggressive behaviour and gesticulating also on show from numerous fans in the clips is deemed ok though. I hope they pin point those throwing stuff and find reason to ban a whole lot of them. Otherwise all the other behaviour is being condoned.

I don't understand these idiots, every team in the country is multicultural with players of all ethnicities so are actually abusing/offending their own players. There was a time when I thought that Barnsley sub was gonna get a bit of abuse when goading the Canton end after Barnsley scored the opener but soon got back in his box!

I don't get that either.. doing monkey gestures to opponents over colour when your heros are the same colour how does that work ?
