I know fans said NP was outdated, had to go,facilities no where near PL standard etc,but forget the revenue, nice seats no posts in the way,NP would have been worth 9 points at least,it was no different to selhurst park etc and they survive quite nicely.
I was all for the move in the end but in hindsight a packed NP was scary as hell for an away team.
Thoughts?

I’ve often thought of this but in this day and age as opposed to 10-15 years ago I’d say it wouldn’t have made much difference imo

I loved Ninian Park but seem to have a much stronger home record since moving to the CCS.

Yes. It would have done.
19 games like that Leeds FA cup game! Opposition would have hated and dreaded it.
Its a great sadness for me that timing couldn't squeeze one PL season in at NP.

NO
I hated moving but NP would have had to be converted to all seater , and the capacity was only 18k when we left so how low would it have been with seats ?

It wouldn't have worked because the terraces would have been closed, giving us a capacity of 11000.
We didnt have the time or money to upgrade the place.
Shame, because the Leeds FA Cup game showed how intimidating the place could be.

At one time I think there was a seasons grace to make ground alterations and standing allowed. Think the last club to have standing in PL was Portsmouth but I think another promoted side did too. Going back to seasons before the Blackpool play off defeat mind.

No
Our record was not great at ninian If it was such an advantage to us why did we spend so many years in the lower division It did not seem to put off the opposition that much Yes we had a few occasions when it as great However our win % in the new stadium is much higher

Don’t think so ....NP was what it was ....a great old ground but football has changed and the 2 closest grounds in the PL to NP are Selhurst and Turf Moore but neither are fortresses ...
I couldn’t see Wales playing there either as it would have been too small for the big games...CCS fits city and Wales better imo ....

No way would that Leeds atmosphere be replicated today - nor would it be allowed by the PL, our club or authorities.
