Watford are expected to announce the most arrogant man in football, closely followed by Mike Dean, as their 3rd permanent manager this season.

Watford are expected to name Nigel Pearson as their new manager following the sacking of Quique Sanchez Flores.

Former Leicester City boss Pearson, 56, would become the Hornets' third manager this season and is expected to sign a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Flores was dismissed on Sunday after less than 90 days following the 2-1 defeat at Southampton.

He succeeded Javi Gracia, who was sacked in September.

Pearson last managed in the Premier League at Leicester but was sacked in May 2015 and replaced by Claudio Ranieri, with the Foxes winning the Premier League title the following season.

He has since had a five-month spell at Derby County, leaving by mutual consent in October 2016 and at Belgian First Division side OH Leuven, where he was sacked in February 2019.

Watford under-23 coach Hayden Mullins took charge for the defeat at Leicester City on Wednesday.

After sacking Sanchez Flores the club said a replacement would be appointed "imminently".

Makes no difference

Mourinhos reads sacked sacked sacked sacked

Warnocks is the same

Ranieri is the same

He did very well at Leicester and is probably perfect for Watford especially if they go down as looks likely

the first sacked on your list had more to do with his sons behaviour on tour than him though. he had just performed the great escape winning 7 out of his last 9 premier league games in charge.

Football has a way of throwing up sceneraios people don't expect but they just work, whereas what sometimes looks perfect on paper, fails.

One thing I have learned is to just wait and see with Football as coming out with statement on the cuff sometimes leaves you with egg on your face

Gonna be tough.Looks like you're gonna need close to 40 points to stay up this year, need to average close to 1.5 points a game until the end of season

He is an appointment for a relegation battle that's for sure. Not something Watford have been used to. Curious that when settled mid table and aspiring to push on they go with johnnyunknownforeigner but jump to the ex English centre half in their current position.
