Good question. I'm inclined to think that a cult hero maybe doesn't fit the bill as a normal hero. Loose canon type, more Cantona than Bryan Robson.

couldn't believe how good the kid was , but only played a handful of games..

The ground he covered was incredible. Some loan signing that was. Eddie Newton similar ilk.

Fav Manager - Jimmy Andrews (1974-78)
Worst Manager - Phil Neale (even worse than Ole !!!)
Best goal witnessed - John Buchanan (THE Excorcet missile !)

Memories Eh :bluebird: :)

Jimmy Andrews?

If it wasn’t for him Toshack would have put us in the first division.

Ritchie Morgan was my favourite manager.

Most skilful? Jay Bothroyd.

loved the Jimmy Andrews promotion season myself.
and not so sure about Tosh, it was a different situation down there starting lower and gaining momentum.. we will never know... wish he hadn't gone there all the same.

Agree 75-76 was special. Beating Peterborough 5-2 over Xmas my highlight game even better than Hereford. Couldn’t get to Palace which must have been insane.

As for Tosh, imagine Tommy Smith in that iconic strip!! To think when the swans were languishing in div 4 we’d cheer their result if they won. Mad to think of it but it happened.

cheering Swansea results does sound mad, but yes it happened.
the 75/76 season.. new players , was a damn good line up for div 3 but took quite a while to gell bit like this season.signing Alston was the missing piece ? .we were about 18th at end of Oct ,Alston scored 2 debut goals pretty sure Tosh was there watching....and we seemed to take off from there...did palace, peterboro and bury on the run in..mental times.
