Where to stay for Italy 2020

Looking for a bit of advice on where to book our accommodation to. We fly to Rome on 19th June and return 22nd. Where is the best place for 4 lads to base themselves close to bars clubs atmosphere etc. Been to Rome.once before and must admit I didnt see nothing bit cafe bars
