Difficult to believe he is playing in a Stoke side in Championship relegation zone.
He was outstanding for Wales and again for Stoke against us. He's Arter on steroids plus reads the game better, picks a pass and what I saw on Tuesday night drives forward with the ball more often and to better effect than I would have thought he did.
I'm guessing he must be on strong money still at Stoke but difficult to understand why PL team haven't taken him.

Apparently he’s really settled in the area with his family and not pushing to go anywhere.

There is a point in most player's lives when they look a little outside football and think
"Actually, me and my family are settled here, so why do I need all that upheaval?"David Marshall was one but sadly the club had an agenda at the time
It's not alway about money from the players. They have lives and families outside of football, too

I didn't understand the move to Stoke...
Liverpool to Stoke after being in the team of the tournament at the Euros ?
he was 25 years old ,at his peak and if I remember correctly it happened very quickly after the Euros { he didn't seem to hang out for better clubs } … shocked me at the time.

It's great that he is settled as that's something many footballers don't have whilst playing.
I'm sure a PL salary is helping mind.
The move to Stoke was curious though Liverpool were building some team which is being proven now. I'm just surprised he is still there. Stoke isnt like living in isolated South Wales and there are lots of clubs an hour away. I suppose if he is in leafy Cheshire where he could well have been when at Liverpool he's settled and happy.
Will he draw the line if Stoke go down though?

it wasn't so much Liverpool selling him { although that surprised me in itself } but more the fact he seemed to jump at the 1st club that came along. and it was Stoke.
as for the being settled bit...Footballers/ managers move , its part of football , even Phil Dwyer and Don Murray moved on

Probably on a very good wage he knows he wont get elsewhere.

Allen has never won over stoke fans, they want rid asap.
The peg sellers are desperate to have him back,if he shaved that mush he’d look 10 years younger, almost like signing a youngster

head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch. Cant believe a Premier League club wont come in for him in January.

Until another team is prepared to match his wages £50k a week wages then he wont go anywhere.

I don’t see what all the fuss is about joe allen, overrated by us Welsh fans. He does break up play, buy not often enough and easy to get past. He has no chance in the Premier Leagues, with the pace

If he is on £50k a week that no doubt helps him feeling settled
