I don't know if its been said before but can we stop singing "Gary scores we're on the pitch" ?
I know its supposed to be a bit of fun but surely it comes across as condescending and it cant do his confidence any good. A bit cringey too IMO
Has done well last x2 games, hope his form continues to rise

Come on, it’s a laugh. I bet him and his team mates joke with him about it. I don’t care if you’re offended by it, I know for a fact he will use that song as motivation to get his goal and make him hungry for it. I’ve never seen a lazy low confident Madine. I’ve only seen a hard working neat and tidy player who has had a couple chances in every game he’s played. If he wasn’t getting chances and it was clearly effecting him, then I’m sure we wouldn’t sing that. But at the end of the day he’s playing quite well and for you to ask that we stop singing the only chant he’s got doesn’t make sense to me. Some players in our team don’t even have a chant for crying out loud.
Should we also stop singing Same old English always cheating too when Madine (the English player) gets booked for diving after a challenge against Tom Lockyer ( a Welsh Center back) ???
We are saying the ref or Charlton as a team are cheating, but at the end of the day the player we’re sticking up for is English and the one who we’re supposedly trying to tease is Welsh... it doesn’t make sense.
Anyway, like I said, let the chants be. If Madine scores, I guarantee you he will keep that song. It had back story to it, it’s true he hasn’t scored for us and he will own that. I think when he does score for us the fans will be just as happy for him as he is for himself, and the chant will live on after that should he remain at this club.

I genuinely see it as a song of support. The fact we are so keen for him to get that first goal instead of groaning every time he's on the pitch.

Fu..... hallarious I thought. We should run on in the pitch in our underpants if scores and give a Klopp hug. I was going to say boll.... naked but I restrained myself.

my thoughts exactly....
don't see the bit of fun thing...its emphasising what an out of the ordinary event a goal by him would be...
im sure he is thrilled he owns that song.. as im sure others must be gutted they haven't got an equally cringey song...

TBH I thought it was "we're on the p*ss"! It was more amusing when we sang it about Freddie Gounongbe though...
