Cardiff City manager Neil Harris said:

"It wasn't a classic. It was a typical scrappy Tuesday night football match.

"We played open and expansive football on the weekend. It was exciting, but it's not always going to be like that.

"I thought we were more structured tonight and more shape about them.

"I'm delighted for the players. We'll be better than that, I promise you that. If we have to roll our sleeves up and battle like that then we can do so.

"We limited Stoke's opportunities. Sometimes you need that one moment. I'm delighted with the end product of a clean sheet."

The problem is spoiled fans want instant changes and fail to realise he's inherited a sub par team thats had over 2 years of Warnock football, it'll take time.

I really enjoyed parts of last night, some really good clever play, some not so good, but that is as expected.
2 games in and I already really like what Harris is doing, I can see where its going and am excited for the rest of the season.

Yes, it was only stoke, but we have lost to worse teams this season. They had their chances, but our team stopped their play.

Bennett and Pelts that high up the pitch with purpose! great to watch.

Madine as well looked good for the first half, and a brilliant assist for the goal.

Great start.
