I might get some stick on this one, but, personally think he’s to slow and not fit enough to start games? He’s more effective off the bench when opposition are getting tired. I’d bring him on with 20-25 minutes remaining

I agree fully

I see what you’re saying but I’d only agree with you for away games - when we’re probably going to be more under pressure. We need his magic at home; he certainly adds another dimension to our attacking play and we lost that when he went off imho.

I can see what you are getting at but for me he's great and I can't fathom why he's barely featured since signing. He always tries hard. He has the ability to magic something out of nothing. He needs to be in or around the match squad every game for me.

Should start home games.
Best player on the pitch tonight.

Without a doubt.
Always a threat, had their defenders on their toes constantly. At home in particular, he’d be the first name on the team sheet for me.

Tomlin was man of the match last night lol

He was best player on park against Stoke but he tires so quickly and just can't seem to do more than a quality 65 minutes.
He is a spark and creator and our best player and with most games won or lost at the end that's when I'd want him on the pitch. Added to which with oppos a bit leggy he would be running rings round them.
I'd like to see him being used from half time after a work horse has been used to run the oppos around.
Its unconventional but its a tactic like a long throw to a 6'5 defender. At this level Tomlin is a talent and a match winner but I don't think we see best of him yet still. If he just can't give 90 minutes he has to be utilised to best advantage. I think he came off after 80 minutes tonight but he had been anonymous for a good ten minutes before that. Unlike Joe Allen it must be said.

He simply has to get fit enough to perform for 90 mins otherwise he will be a luxury we can’t always afford to start.
Not only was he quiet for 10 minutes before he was subbed he was also blowing for the last 10 minutes of the first half.
He is outstanding on the ball but has to get fit enough to play 90 minutes otherwise he’s going to be in and out of the first team. Let’s hope he and the club can get him there.

I see your point and away from home I'd agree. But he needs to start at home. He'll only get fitter with more game time. Hes still hardly played a run of games for us.

Agreed he needs a run and a bit of care in the midweek games when we have three games in a week he is going to struggle, he is one of the players we need to rest occasionally to see the best of him in the other games.
If we can get Ralls back and Patterson fit and back on form he can miss the odd game or half.

Exactly, hopefully vaulks picks up some form too. Tomlin doesn't have to play every minute but we have to get what we can out of him because he is without a doubt our best attacking player.

Starts when fit, I don't think we have many other options to be honest.
