A NEAR NEW 11 READING THROUGH FORUM

Mon Nov 25, 2019 10:22 am

Just reading through the forum people not happy with bennet ball watching and cannot defend, flint to slow, pack even slower than flint, bacuna needs to look at himself, lang no end product? Scored sat,
holliet burnt out, bogle and glatzel league 1 standard only,
murphy not interested , morrison way to slow,
that leaves ethridge, ralls, peltier, tomlin bamba whyte.
Harris has got his work cut out with this team 16th in the table, january on the horizon with sala to sort and possible transfer ban , did neil leave us in better shape on the pitch?

lol..im sure you can find negative comments for Ralls, Etheridge etc..
but you cant be blaming Warnock or praising him for whatever happens next..

Warnock worked miracles to get us promoted but there is no denying his signings have left us deprived of any real quality and pace. Which is why we leak goals and lack that cutting edge.

It's not going to take a complete overhaul of the team though to get us playing better. 2 or 3 signings could completely change the dynamics of this team. Personally, I think a CM should be a priority in January. Someone with pace and a bit of quality will help in defence and attack. If Coxe isnt going to be a given a chance a quicker RB would offer more going forward. Ward, Glatzel, Madine and Bogle have got a short time to prove themselves or id being looking to bring a striker in on loan. We must be the only team in the league who do not take advantage of the loan market.

DOGFOUND
Not saying its warnock fault for the future i was just saying he had not left us a team to bounce back to the prem, and as for the comments of the players i was just thinking how some people think x is great and the other thinks he' s diabolical just like me saying keiffer moor was a better striker than glatzel along with giggs gabiddon and a lot of pundits thinking moor has made the difference for wales i have not seen him for club but on what i have seen he puts himself about like carrol and is a handful i don' t see glatzel a handful.

Ive been watching football long enough to know most teams do not bounce straight back so wasn't really expecting to. maybe play offs if fortunate as its a revolving door season....its a time to re assess what you've got left, how your new signings fit and whats required for the second year push...
Kiefer Moore ?. well who would have thought it ..not pulling up any trees for Wigan but a seemingly perfect fit for Wales..

I think the key is getting the balance right. We have had appalling transfer windows but with a change I how we play and getting more out of key players I think a good manager could get this squad up. Harris I doubt it mind.

Harris having managed in London for 4 years should certainly have contacts...but like transfers they can be hit and miss...
would you want out of favour players with a track record or kids ?

Given our lack of quality in certain areas I would be happy taking a punt on a youngster from the prem. Always seems to be a success story of a youngster on loan smashing it in the championship. That Gallagher for Charlton was on loan from chelsea, he had 4 in 6 from midfield. Grujic was a great loan signing for us the season we went up. Not sure if Harris will have money to spend in January, but if he hasnt then the club should at least be looking to bring someone in on loan.

its a bit hit and miss, Leeds had 3 on loan from Chelsea last season. but only played 11 games combined...but borrowed jack Harrison off man city who was almost ever present { re loaned him this season }
the downside is they often come with game time demands but as you say if money is tight its worth a go..

Always a risk but we could end up with a Tammy Abraham or Harry Wilson type player. Less of a risk than splashing out millions on a untested youngster with potential.

Seems unlikely with Harris but a better manager who knows stranger things have happened. 7 points isn't that much.
