Bacuna

Although still prone to a mistake or two, have been really impressed with how he’s developing. Think his willingness to drive forward from deep and some of his passing has been excellent.
I really think he’s going to be a key player for us as he develops.
I do hear a lot of negativity toward him... thoughts??

Even at his best he is a very average midfielder. CM would be the first position I’d be looking to strengthen in January if there are funds available. A creative midfielder with a bit of pace. If we are going to press high we need midfielders who can get back quickly if we get caught out. A better team would have punished us yesterday with the amount of times we got caught out in midfield.

When Villa brought him into the PL he was brought in as a Right Back albeit played out of position and he flourished scoring goals against Man City and that free kick against us. When NW brought him in for us he was brought in as cover for both RB and Midfield and Pack was brought in to replace Gunnars.

Think he can develop more with more game time and he needs a bit of luck in front of goal with his shots as he’s had some cracking strikes in recent weeks only being denied by the woodwork and keeper. Looking promising to be honest

I am not sure what fans expect.

We played two recognised central midfielders against a team that pack the midfield and they more than held their own offensively. We looked even better when we brought a genuine attacking midfielder.

Pack and Bacunas' willingness to get the ball, move and receive it, allowed for the first time in a while for the wide players enough time to organise their thoughts as they were in a bit of space rather than living off scraps

Watch the first goal back and watch Bacuna . His tracking was awful and let both players run into the box unchallenged when he realised it was too late.

He puts our defence under pressure making them look poor but in reality that goal could have been stopped if the midfield had done there job properly

Not convinced by him ...dunno why

He had a very good first half, although he was at fault for the second goal. Did everything else well in the first half.

But he faded in the second half, which seems to happen a lot with him.

He gets a tough time from a lot of fans but he's been one of our better players in recent weeks.

He did a good job and, like Madine, will have to do cartwheels to get praise from some fans unfortunately.

Makes himself look busy without actually making a tackle. Both years we went up we had legs in midfield with the likes of Bryson and cowie

Very average player, not sure what he brings to the side,it his errors that put the team under pressure, and mostly every game, not the player you want in your side if your going for promotion

100%... Too slow anticipating danger. Reading of the game is bad. CM replacement a top priority.

Bacunas positional play has always been awful, even when he was playing well. Why people think he could play right back I don't know.
