Charltons depleted team ??

Sun Nov 24, 2019 8:31 am

Heard so much about city playing a weakened Charlton team,so decided to take a look at their line up,Only one or two changes, pratley was out because suspended, most of there injured players have been out for weeks, not like they were injured just for Cardiff game, not the best being two nil down, but done well to come back to equalise and could have nicked the win if penalty went in,no hoof ball either so positive signs

Too true and we have had a terrible run of injuries ourselves this season, that's why the best squads are there at the end and teams make late runs !!!!

so if you've been injured more than a few days it don't count ?..theyve been in awful form as their injury list has grown. starting with Lyle Taylor who got 5 goals during the blistering start to the campaign they had.

That Lyle Taylor who had missed Their previous 10 or 11 games?

yep that's him...they won twice.
they had a fantastic start mate. but been in relegation form since..id imagine the pile up of injuries has something to do with that and don't see any point in trying to make out its something its not..

My point being was it weren’t just the Cardiff game, that charlton had injury problems like some on here were trying to make out,the players that they had injured, had been out for weeks, same with us with Bamba and not that he would have played Richards

They were hit hard by injuries.. I think 8 or10 from their squad..but then we were also missing Ward, Vassell, Glatzel, ( arguably our 3 first choice strikers )Bamba , Ralls, Richards, Connolly and Morrison was on the bench due to having just come back from injury. 3 of those were the backbone of our promotion side.

It’s fairly normal for a squad to be missing a few.

8-10 is tough for a club like Charlton with a small squad, but we’ve also had it quite bad so far this season
