A forum for all things Cardiff City

I could write a load of positives today, so let that be the most important thing, this is just a side note having seen a really positive Cardiff City side.
I thought Pack was at fault for the second goal but I’m happy enough to put it down to his pace. But at one point soon after we scored our first Pack was closest to the striker to block a shot and he just jogged towards and barely made any effort to stop the shot that could’ve gone in if not for Etheridge’s unauthodox save.
He’s supposed to be our captain today, why is he not busting a gut to block a shot that could’ve easily been a goal? And this was only the 50th minute. He wasn’t tired, he just couldn’t be arsed. I don’t like that. I don’t want that sort of player playing for us to be honest.
Did anybody else notice Packs lack of effort or was it just me?
Bacuna was great in midfield though, Shame we don’t have 2 Bacuna’s to play midfield.

I don't know its through lack of effort tbh as I don't think he's that type of player, I just genuinely think he's that slow. I thought he was really poor anyway and would replace him with Ralls or even Vaulks.

Strange how people see things differently , even though Bacuna worked hard he lost his man in the lead up to both goals. The first was shockingly bad marking by him. His passing was also poor

I do not believe so. I have been highly critical of Pack so far this season but he is what he is,slow, but brave on the ball.
We can't demand a change of style without drawbacks. In the position he found himself he had to take that lad who didn't have to be quicker than a snail to be faster than him., that's all.
The Pack Tomlin axis will be important and we may still have a player in Glatzel if we start to play a bit and pass the ball rather than hack it anywhere.
