Serious thread on venerable Children and Women etc

A sign was seen on Clifton Street, Cardiff that shocked a lot of people *(see the photo below)

Team ALPHA has taken the initiative to help vulnerable women, children, etc.

We have been in contact with concerned people up and down the country asking them to put these posters up offering a 'safe' place to go, if they feel vulnerable or in danger. These signs have been placed in business windows and in shops

The response has been amazing and hopefully it won't be long before we get the whole UK covered with 'Safe Zones' within local businesses.

If you would like to help out and your local business(es) are willing to come on board, get hold of the team for more information.

It is all about trying to keep our streets safe so woman and children can walk them in safety once again.

Nukes have you come across the PAG group out of Rochdale?

Doing something similar in establishing safe zones for kids - basically a network of shops that kids can enter if they feel threatened and have somewhere where they can go to if they feel they are in immediate danger.

Might be worth connecting with them to share some ideas.

Why shoot it down - its grass roots community protecting it's own. What is there not to commend, even if the application is currently rudimentary, the concept is noble.

normally do see nukes as a bit of a conspiracist but in this instance there’s been a worrying spike in university students being approached and followed by weirdos both in Cardiff and Swansea. Not sure why it’s getting worse

I used to live just off Clifton Street about 12 years ago, was a rough area then not surprised but sad to see this sort of thing is going on, good initiative to keep people safe and weed the scum out.

As I said we don’t know any more about that sign somebody who is concerned has put it up if it is untrue then those that are local would say so.
Saying those that are concerned are gullible fuckers is quite something from someone typing under a just a user name with no clue to there real identity. My view if you want to get personal and start to be abusive please let people know who the hell you are. Now this initiative didn’t start because of that sign it’s a far bigger picture. It could be for children or women being followed and are frightened even men. Or children that are being abused and see it maybe as an opportunity to maybe seek help. If you think that sign is false go there and question it.

I may be being stupid here but the only way I can understand why you think such a project could be damaging to a community is if you think there is a specific section of that community that is more likely to be guilty of committing these crimes and that could this lead to division within the community.

Surely don’t you think the police would have mentioned something or something a bit more official then a bit of marker on a a4 that’s stuck up with tape?

Is there any proof of all this attempted raping going on or is somebody just out to scare for some unknown reason.
I mean a few years back when there was actually people being attacked walking home from town at night it was all over the papers.

Surely if it was really happening something more then a bit of paper stuck to a wall would be done?
