I was very fond of Bomber as a manager and disappointed he left Millwall, as were many other Millwall fans. You have probably only heard the more vociferous fans, the ones who wanted him to leave. I was surprised he got the Cardiff job, but you actually have a very good manager. I thought that given time he might take Millwall into the Premier League, so Cardiff shouldn't be despondent.
I don't have any special insight into him or his philosophy or training, but he is a man of principle and once those are understood the whole club benefits. That takes time though. Also, he will be coming with Dave Livermore, who is an excellent and trusted lieutenant and no nonsense. If you are Millwall, the singing is very important, so your choir might be an insipration for both the players and manager.
Take good care of your excellent new manager. Show him the Rhondda in some good weather.
It should be a cracking game on Boxing Day. You will hear how loud even 2,000 Millwall can be!

The small percentage who are slagging off our new manager before the ink has dried on his new contract are typical of today's modern social media generation. I am sure most fans will get behind him for now, as I have said before, there are still a lot of us around who were supporters when we were really crap with really crap managers, and Championship football was just a distant dream.

What a strange point of view

What Chopper has is commitment. He sticks to his principles, even when choices are narrowed down to what might appear as a poor choice. That is the way I see it. The benefit is that you can actually test your beliefs that way, and also it keeps the club stronger as there is some sanity, some prevailing sense which people can follow.
If you want to help your manager, in my opinion you should introduce him to the local culture and arts and try and bring that influence into his thinking. He seemed to not derive that kind of strength from what was on offer in London, and there is a lot on offer around the banks of the Thames.
Millwall's new manager has picked up a club in a very good state. He is bringing his own insights into to squad and has started some exciting style. If Cardiff have a director of football who can offer some similar insights, it will complement Chopper nicely.
Cardiff vs Millwall will be a great game, and the Millwall players will be very happy to see their old manager again. For me, it will be very interesting to see the Millwall way in action against its old manager.

Maybe the Lions’ board you are reading is like this one and doesn’t reflect the actual Cardiff City fan base at all or changes their mind depending on the weather like this one.

Neil, a couple of faux pas from the OP, including renaming of 'Bomber' to 'Chopper' in its two posts today; not a mistake a genuine Millwall fan would make (confusing a Millwall legend with a Chelsea one, that is)![]()

Not Roathie then?
He doesn't usually make such glaring errors.
