Anybody find it a bit strange that we have not heard a word from him yet or even a picture of him at the club with a shirt ?
Normally the first thing done
Is it possibly because they know the fans are not overly happy and are waiting for it to calm down

No. Its an international week and clubs are set for that as are the media.
Dalman and Choo think they've done their work and probably aren't giving it anywhere near the thought and attention now that most of us are.

Well surely that makes it easier and quicker to do a press release and pictures ?
Nobody involved in this decision has any involvement internationally so your answer makes no sense whatsoever
No players to deal with straight away and the club is quiet.
Every manager we have had has been announced with him either in the stadium or shaking dalman hand
This has had nothing other than a few lines on a website.

Dalman and Choo have other plans!
I was trying to say on an international break those two aren't focused on Cardiff City.
Only photo opportunities will not be in Cardiff but of them eating in some upscale London eatery.
They can't make it to Cardiff half the time when we have a fixture so they are not going to when they have the weekend off.
They don't care like we do.

What are you going on about
They are the main men at the club, they make the decisions and have just made a massive one in appointing a manager. So in reality it is there busiest time of the season.
You do not have to be in Cardiff to take pictures and make announcement s. They all live in London anyway so why would they need to come here this weekend ?
Just because the players are off doesnt mean the whole club goes on holiday, this is not a high school where teachers have a break at the same time as pupils.

Totally agree, the silence is deafening. I want to hear from the bloke, the lack of anything makes it all the less inspiring. I've heard him speak before, nice bloke and all that, but I want to know why he chose the job, what attracted him here, what his aspirations are for the last two thirds of the season and beyond, how will he deal with an embargo if it happens, will he try to get youth coming through etc... like he did at the wall. Come on Neil, speak up!!!!!

I'm not defending them! I completely agree with OP.

They managed to get a quote from Tan, Dalman and Choo so I don't know why it would be anymore difficult for Harris, I'm sure he had a mobile phone and 5 minutes spare.

Big press conference tomorrow I imagine. Nothing unusual to me.

Now I didn't want him but if he is that weak we got serious problems.

The point is it is weird to appoint a manager or sign a player without any quotes or pictures.
When you announce a manager it is normally done with some sort of fanfare and a speech straight away.
It's just strange and the fact its international week makes no difference whatsoever.
I cant think of any other appointment anywhere that was done with just a quick website message and nothing else

You've got to understand how media spin works to see whats happening.
Harris was our manager days before it was officially announced.
The media people at the club will read online reaction to "leaked" rumours of interviews and candidates, particularlt the reaction to Harris'name bein banded about.
Realising the negative reaction, a couple of positive stories are leaked to the press (Harris didnt want to leave Cardiff and the one about the Millwall players family bereavement) just so it may sway peoples opinion on the matter.
Officially announced Saturday but in the midst of a very important international phase.
Photos have already been taken (as was Salas with the shirt before he'd finalised the deal) inteviews have already been carried out ( there will probably be one about how great and passionate our fans are, another how he's always wanted to play attacking football and believes he now has the squad to do so, and probably one about how excited he is about some of our youth players)
All these stories and photos will be released this week building up to a positive and exciting spin on the Charlton game on Saturday.
And that ladies and gentlemen, is how you play people. (It also works very well with politics and free broadband)
Good luck Neil Mk2 i look forward to our next era.

Perhaps he is oblivious to it being an unpopular appointment and perhaps his wife doesn't do message boards to tell him what the fans think?

spot on Mr Shed..
giving people a bit of time to get their heads around it. and hope it mellows

Why what are they going to do shout at the picture?

The club will be aware its not a universally welcomed appointment but there's not exactly been civil unrest just a very very small overall percentage of support moaning on message boards. The club will however be convinced and are convinced it's the right move and are telling each other that.
I very much doubt photos taken and I very much doubt we will see or hear anything until Wednesday with Tuesdays game in front of us. I revert to what I said earlier and various people are having a weekend off.
Any one have any informed knowledge of players training regime since last Sunday? A few missing on international duty but would training take place Monday morning? If so that's when new man will meet his players for first time

Luke, you think he'd be chomping at the bit right now and full of the usual platitudes?

its not a popular appointment and the board and NH are very aware it isn't..
wouldn't put it past them to have the official unveiling video released Tuesday evening when the sports news is all about Wales qualifying..i hope

It's certainly an odd one and most clubs would be putting him out there to push his ideas forward
