Neil Harris is not exactly talked about as a pioneer of modern football or an up and coming manager with great ideas, he is not a man talked about as having progressive ideas
I will give him a chance and support him, of course I will, but to lose someone like Neil Warnock on Tuesday and appoint Neil Harris 4 days later tells me that the top brass at the club have no f*cking idea whatsoever about football.
You simply cannot lose somebody of the calibre of Neil Warnock and then appoint somebody 4 days later, what process exactly has been followed there in terms on taking stock of the 'sudden' departure of our manager.
Manager leaves suddenly on day 1, day 2 is taking stock, day 3 is advertising the position, day 4 is seeing who has applied, day 5-6-7 is seeing who we want and interviewing, day 8-9-10 is making the appointment.
I just don't get it, I would like somebody from the Club to come out and tell us the truth, in the meantime I'll just carry on supporting the Club, what choice do we have?

I have warmed to the idea as the week went on ..
but
what I really do not understand was all the bookies , who you would imagine heard of NWs departure at the same time as ourselves inserted Harris as fav ..obvious to a dozen bookmakers but not to any fans ?
then Dalman comes out with a statement regarding their ideal candidate which really don't describe anything ive read about NH..?
me..? ..ill support the club if Donald duck was manager and in lge 2.. in fact I think I already have, he had a Kenny hibbit mask on.

Warnock left, the players don’t fit the style of a full change of tactics and style of play and therefore a manager coming in would ideally play a similar style, uprooting a full style change now would be crazy given we are nearer relegation than playoffs and a relegation battle may well be looming
Add to it Harris was unattached plays the same style as warnock which suits the squad and bang easy for the club
Personally I’d rather have taken a chance on bowyer or someone willing to change things up but given staying in the division is the key thing this year right now I can kind of understand the boards decision I’d much rather them have said the above and given Harris a rolling contract with the brief of avoiding relegation and we will revisit in the summer ideally then we could have changed it up and rebuilt for a push ahead with a new style of play but seems we are now stuck with Harris until 2022 unless he’s sacked before

Will always appreciate Warnock for what he did here, but he well and truly fecked it right up this season.
Harris now has to deal with a disjointed squad Warnock left here. If we somehow get to the play offs, then Harris would have over achieved. Warnock left us at best a mid table squad.

people put way too much emphasis on the Swansea game...
name the managers that got sacked after 14 games .. because I can rattle of loads who have survived worse runs

That’s because we were totally and utterly abysmal. I’ve no doubt the scenario I laid out in my previous post would have seen a dismissal. The fanbase would be over 90% screaming for him to be sacked and the club would have acted. Because it was Warnock and he did a fantastic job in his first two seasons, saved him.

if the club came up with Harris after weeks of looking they want to step down really, its incompetence at its finest.TERRYB wrote:Everyone seems to assume that the process to replace NW only started last week? As soon as Warnock made it clear that this would be his last season I am sure the hierarchy at our Club started to put the wheels in motion to source his replacement, then we had the shocking performances and the dismal showing against the Jack's and the first signs of discontent from our fans. Then came the loss to Bristol.
There was the likelihood of fans starting to show their anger towards Warnock and I think the Club thought let's have a change and they already had NH in mind. Now let's give our new man the chance to see what he can do.

If we continue like we have been playing, it’ll get ugly and I can’t see Harris lasting long.
