If it were between Harris and Hughes, who would you want?
Some say that's its as good as done for Harris to take over but nothing official yet.
Harris and Hughes the two clear frontrunners.
Hughes would get my vote.

In his early days at Wales, Blackburn and Man City Hughes did pretty decent jobs. But since then; Fulham, QPR, Stoke and Southampton. At those four clubs he spent an absolute fortune and none of them progressed under him.
I'm also underwhelmed by Harris but overall he did well at Millwall. The style of play will remain direct but I don't think he'd be an absolute disaster, I would prefer Ainsworth, Bowyer or Hughton though.

Sparky

If Neil Harris gets the nod we are as good as finished. Hoof ball led by someone who has no affinity for the club will see us back in the market again before too long as we frantically try to avoid relegation.
Harris is cheap, out of work and won’t challenge Tan - the fans deserve far better!

What sad options.

Sparky .
I would rather Trollope return than have Harris

Of the 2 who could attract the better players were the money right?? It's not correct to say we haven't spent cash. We have. And we pay sums reasonable enough for players to sign in the first place. For whatever reason we haven't been able to attract the higher calibre player for the level we are at. Would either of these 2 make the difference do you think??
Both have done well and not so well. Both have at least managed where we are or where we want to go.

The Only Thing That Makes Me Rethink Hughes Is That He Had Done A Poor Job With Stoke.

He finished 9th in the premier league 3 years on the bounce with stoke, his 4th season was 13th, and he went mid way through his 5th season with them in the relegation zone, so his first 4 seasons ending only 3 seasons ago wasn’t that bad really.

As bad as the Hilary Clinton or Donald Trump choice for US election
Thu Nov 14, 2019 10:30 pm
Wheres the neither in this lifetime option?
Thu Nov 14, 2019 10:34 pm
People are saying these are bad options.
But I would say that Mark Hughes has been a Premier League manager for years. He's struggled. But a decent manager and very intelligent.
Certainly better than Warnock and his mate McKay.
Thu Nov 14, 2019 10:35 pm
Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t Hughes take over at QPR after Warnock was sacked? Also didn’t he struggle with the players he inherited from Warnock?
Thu Nov 14, 2019 11:00 pm
This really is a sad state of affairs. This season has gone from uninspiring to outright disappointing.

and managed to do worse than Warnock did last season with 2 teams where he had stronger squads and spent more money..

If the club hire Harris then it goes to show that they don't give a toss about their customers which is pretty stupid if you ask me.
Does Dalman read internet forums? Hopefully Steve Borley has a word with them.

Surely if the club had decided on Harris and then see the result of this then they would have to have a rethink.
Even though it's a small portion of the fan base I would expect the result to be similar even if 20k were asked.
The fans obviously dont want Harris and for that reason it will not work unless with him

Me, too...but Hughes of that limited list
Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:56 am
The problem I see with Hughes is that its said that he's very aloof as a manager and is not a hands on type which is probably the total opposite of Warnock. If he's like that with the fans he won't last 5 mins.

I also think he would perhaps only take this job because he's run out of premier league clubs willing to take a punt on him and sees this as an opportunity to repair his reputation where as for Harris it would be his biggest job so far.
Fri Nov 15, 2019 9:16 am
I’d abstain as I wouldn’t want either.

Warnock out pep in is what some thought.
reality is different...its a journeyman ex prem manager who buys people like imbula and berinho for 30 mill..
or a young up and comer that did a decent job at millwall on peanuts....
so having slaughtered Warnock for wasting 2 mill here and 5 mill there 80% { the same number that voted nw out want a bigger money waster whose record in the prem at 2 of his last 3 clubs was worse than NWs last season despite inheriting much better squads and spending...

personally I will accept and support either..
but what a crazy bumch..

the OVER exageration is to make a point that NOBODY can take literally..i was wrong, there is always 1
I assumed most including you have at least the 1 brain cell...you do your best to make people doubt it though..i very much doubt if someone in work ,down the pub or a mate said what I did you would be acting as stupid as you have...
