Cardiff City chief would welcome a director of football

Cardiff City would welcome the implementation of a director of football following Neil Warnock's departure, chairman Mehmet Dalman has said.

Dalman has hinted that any would-be manager could well find themselves working with a sporting director.

Dalman shoulders most of that responsibility on the board — which is made up of him, chief executive Ken Choo, executive director Steve Borley and four non-executive directors — and has said he would welcome the addition of someone with a broader footballing knowledge.
