Bellamy Caretaker rest of season

Tue Nov 12, 2019 5:54 pm

Is a brave daring radical move. And the right move.

He gets a transfer window, sits mid table, and gets a deserved crack at it until the summer when we can reassess. This means we are not rushing into an appointment.

Using the recent derbies as an example, I believe we would have got big performances from a Bellamy side. He brings everything that the club and the fans have been missing. A Creative and attacking mindset and transfer targets/signings to match, vociferous passion with leaders on the pitch, a focus on youth and the academy, reinstalling the welshness and capital city vibe both on the pitch and in the stands, Welsh players will start appearing in the blue shirt, fresh and modern ideas, more than one game plan, very high standard of performance and fitness. He will get strikers scoring, attacking midfielders assisting. I see more potential than any other candidate and he is one of our own.

I want the best for my club, I find this appointment exciting, just like the way he spoke as a pundit on Sky, that interview in the Times, his autobiography, the way he was working and training with kids when I observed him last year and the way he trained and played as a player.

If it doesn’t work , plenty of time to find a successor. I think it will work, but bloody hell, could also do with a magic wand with most of Warnocks signings. No managerial experience? Neither did Gerrard, Lampard, Bowyer, Harris etc I’m sure Vincent Kompany inspirational international captain wouldn’t want to lose him from his champions league outfit. Doing well out there I hear, just like with our under 18s. Now’s the time Vincent.

Gotta feeling it won’t happen and he goes onto big things, just like John Toshack

Probably the worst idea I can think of.

Why is that?

I can think of much worse ideas than that.

Let's put a childish, aggressive horrible man in charge. That'll do it

He’s just left the club under a cloud due to bullying, why would you think he had any chance of being employed there.

I agree with you. I think he is the last thing Cardiff need right now, and I would be surprised if he is being seriously considered. The one thing you know you will get with Bellamy is controversy, and I doubt if Tan needs any more of that at the moment.

I think we should stay well clear of Bellamy, he's been nothing but trouble his whole career, only recently been in trouble with the academy. Had he kept his nose clean with us he'd probably be top of the list for the club (not for me though) as Warnocks replacement. Lucky escape imo.

Uhm, he didn't; so please get your facts right... ;)

He stepped down of his own accord to allow the club to investigate the allegations made against him; none of which were proven

He did, however, concede that in this 'modern' PC world where you can no longer tell someone the truth in the negative that he needed to change his approach

No actual charges were laid and none admitted; leaving him free to continue his work unaffected and certainly not under a cloud

Would be a great choice until the end of the season IMHO :ayatollah:

In the poll above, he would be the first choice for 25 out of 156 fans, and you say we are the idiots.

I'd imagine it's never his fault, he's just been very unlucky that trouble has followed him everywhere.

"A Cardiff statement read: "The investigation... highlighted a number of significant concerns relating to an unacceptable coaching environment over the relevant period of time.

"This was magnified due to the lack of effective safeguarding processes being followed. Cardiff City Football Club regrets the impact this has had and any distress that may have been caused to those affected by the investigation process that has followed."

But yes your right he didn't leave under a cloud. He even accepted himself he'd got it wrong and apologised.

haha nail on the head. The idiots are the people who fell for the "I am a Cardiff fan and love the club" bullshit. He is a scouser and always has been. Horrible little man

You wouldn’t get anybody to work or sign for him. The minute you drop below his standards or step out of line he’d have you round the throat.
His passion never say die attitude is what we need but as I have said before the main criteria today for a Manager is to be able to manage players egos.He would show no sympathy and struggle to manage players unfortunately

It’s hardly trouble is it?
It must be hard to deal with the over pampered little darlings who believe they are all destined to be the next messi, we’d all struggle to massage their huge egos when they’ve barely played a senior match. Giving him a go now in the position we are in seems plausible. I doubt we will go down but can he steer us up?

Oh I wasn't referring to his latest issues, although yes he should be able to handle kids as a kids coach as a basic.

I'm referring to the fact he has had problems at nearly every club he has been at and why he rarely stays anywhere for very long.

its hardly having to deal with druggies, rapists and murderers either.
and it was serious enough for the club to bring in a solicitors firm to investigate..
most people/coaches just get on with it no issues ..

Bellamy always seems to attract controversy wherever he has been, and I don't think he is the right man for the job at this particular stage of his career. I suppose we only read the bad press about him, because that's what sells newspapers or attracts hits to the on-line sites. We rarely hear about his charities, and apparently he has done a lot of work behind the scenes that we do not hear so much about. Wouldn't be my choice for sure, but I would get behind whoever is appointed as the club and fans need to be united if we are to make serious progress.

whoever we get we are stuck with and will therefore have to support.. including CB.
but not my choice, the circumstances of him coming here on loan tells you all you need to know about how much hard work he must be and to what extent some will go to be shot of him.., it never gets mentioned because it benefitted ourselves..

Vincent allow Craig to be interviewed.Let’s hear his plan for our club going forward. He’s one of us, likes to attack and will also strive for 35 shots a game . Dolman will like that. He will work closely with forwards and attacking players , and won’t accept any slackers or wage earners going through the motions. Over time, more fluid football, more Welsh players, younger talent, improvements in the youth system, urgency, passion and an eagerness to improve. Ruffling lots of feathers along the way. So what? He will have the club, city and country in his best interests rather than his own career path, which is what all the other candidates will be doing.

Bellamys Barmy Army!! :ayatollah: :bluebird:

If Bellers was still here and the rest had not happened this would all be over now and he would be in charge .

Now it's down to Tan and the board to see what they can come with or go back to what was there Plan B -
If NW was to go ... Well it's happened ...Manager in by the weekend ????

Most sensible post I’ve heard mate exactly if nowt had went on he’d be in place already old bellers but unfortunately he was involved in the bullying situation hence no1 wants to be associated with them people
