The 2 men being interviewed today are

Tue Nov 12, 2019 11:02 am

Neil Harris and Sol Bamba i've been told not guranteed to get the job but it seems like its going to be harris imo.

bit of an anti climax especially when dalman said the next manager he wants is someone who plays offensive football and shoot 35 times in a game neil harris does'nt have this style.

hopefully there is another spanner in the works because i think most fans would rather a few more names linked atleast :ayatollah:

Re: The 2 men being interviewed today are

And 100% Flynn from County has been as well.

Re: The 2 men being interviewed today are

Tue Nov 12, 2019 11:17 am

Harris is now 1/5 with the bookies with all other prices lengthening...

Re: The 2 men being interviewed today are

Ah well we've gone from a guy with a proven track record of promotions to pretty much the cheapest option out there ,seems all too quick for me would rather the club take a little time and get the right guy in who can get us up rather than announcing with in 72 hours ....ah well for those that wanted warnock gone be careful what you wish for ,I have a feeling we will be going backwards with the wrong appointment.

Re: The 2 men being interviewed today are

Every man and his dog knows who will be the next manager but in reality nobody knows, and if I had a tenner I wouldn't put it on any name mentioned in these ridiculous threads.

Re: The 2 men being interviewed today are

I would be gutted if its Harris and would quite easily see us getting stuck at the wrong end of the table.

completely agree surely if want to go back up we should be having a bit more ambition than neil harris.. i will always support the manager but this just seems like the cheap option.

Re: The 2 men being interviewed today are

did a more than decent job at millwall but was a club legend and there was really only so far he could take them.

really not sure myself, i feel theres 3 or 4 decent, readily available managers out there i'd rather.

We were going backwards anyway under Warnock and change was needed. I do agree though that it does seem a little rushed at the moment. An extra few days isnt going to make a massive difference so the club definitely shouldn't rush into a decision.

Re: The 2 men being interviewed today are

Would not have been my choice but I would prefer Harris to Bamba who has never managed or coached. All the same there is something a bit Russell Slade about Harris. He has done an ok job at Millwall getting them promoted from league one to the championship in first real season in charge ( he was appointed when they were all but mathematically relegated) but they finished sixth that season and went up via the playoffs. Not great but better than Sunderland and Portsmouth could manage with far greater resources. He has kept them up and away from the relegation zone without ever really threatening the playoffs. To be fair he has done this on very thin resources as Millwall get poor crowds and has signed some halfway decent players at bargain prices.

Against that the football has been poor, same sort of hoofball that we play and despite being something of a club legend the fans were not paticularly sorry to se him go. I hope I am wrong but it all smacks of him being Slade Mk 2 cheap option who will be adequate but nothing special

Christ alive...how very depressing, Neil Harris......oh well derbies with Newport to look forward too perhaps and Tan obviously cares little about bringing in youth and losing shit loads of value in the club. Strange. :banghead:

Never ever seen you with a tenner!

Flynn rumours won’t go away either and with Dalman saying they could look at a director of football he’s already teamed up with Lennie Lawrence hmmm

Re: The 2 men being interviewed today are

Harris no

Flynn ? I live near him, drink in his local, see him most mornings on our school run, but no from me. And I want a more welsh connection at our club. But still a no. I am not convinced.

I will tolerate Bowyer, Alex Neil

Bamba? No, I have a personal thing about centre half’s being managers!!!!!

Bellamy until the end of the season

We don’t need to make a full appointment now

If true, disappointing by most people's standards. As for his style of football! There are not many teams we outplayed this season but Millwall were one of them.they made us look like Barcelona.

no he wasn't.. they were in the process of appointing Rowett . they had given him the job but his first game actually in charge was the following game from ours . make of that what you will regarding whether he had a big input or was still basically how Harris would have operated...
agree with llantwit in that for an hour we did look at our best.

In My Opinion It Has To Be Mike Flynn From Newport Because He Is A Welsh Manager Who Has Promise. And I Am Betting He Will not Be The Only Manager Who Were Watching Cardiff On Sunday.

Same here

Re: The 2 men being interviewed today are

been a bit of a shift in the odds. Harris still 1/4 but Houghton now second favorite at 6/1

Re: The 2 men being interviewed today are

Harris in my opinion not a bad appointment.
