Newton is the type of guy who would continue the relationship with the fans and he has the talent and knowledge to get us playing football again.The question with Eddie would be does he need a Lennie Lawrence type next to him to compliment his coaching skills.Neil Harris doesn’t do it for me and Flynn and Bellers are not Upto it. Tan will want Pullis as a low risk high reward but he would go down like a lead balloon with supporters.I can’t see Tan giving the new manager funds until the Summer so it’s going to be a manager who is cheap and hungry like Ainsworth .Dalman is the key in influencing Tan on this appointment.

You can be the best coach in the world it doesnt mean you will be a good manager.
There are many examples throughout the years

Ray Wilkins was known for being a fantastic coach but failed as a manager

Brian kidd was Ferguson's number 2 for years but failed at management

Paul Trollope was very highly regarded as a coach and still is but failed miserably.

In the other hand a few have been very successful

Brendan Rodgers and Jose Mourinho are probably the main men regarding moving from being a number 2


Eddie is a big gamble but would be 50/50
