Warnock has spent around £70mill+ on a squad that sits 14th in the league, has 1 win in 6, hasn't won away from home with a team that cant string 4 passes together. That has nothing to do with the fans, all that falls on Warnock. He reunited the club and performed a miracle to get us promoted but that doesnt mean we should settle for the performances we are seeing this season. I am gutted it hasnt worked out this season but it was definitely the correct decision for him to go.
The club have a massive decision on their hands now. The correct appointment could salvage our season and potentially build for a promotion push next season - top 6 might be beyond us now this season as I think a transition will take time. But if they get it wrong then it could make the promotion to the prem and the financial gains that came with it a complete waste of time and a massive opportunity missed for the club to build on something. The club need to think long term now and get someone in who is going to play better football that can be replicated by the academy so that youth players have a chance of getting into the first team. That was never going to happen under Warnock with his type of football.
