What an opportunity for city to take a chance on GA. He has performed miracles on no budget at wycombe. Obviously has a great link with city and an old fan favourite. Will it cost huge amount....get him city

He's my first choice also.

Would offer so much more than Hughton.

We don't want another dinosaur.

Houghton is the safe choice, similar to Warnock really I don't see the point in the change.

Ainsworth doesn't exactly excite me either.

Also my first choice. Hes been at Wycombe for a while now. Hes shown loyalty, progression and that he can work with a limited budget. Being an ex player, he also has CCFC in his DNA.

Fingers crossed.

I totally agree with you.
What we need, ideally,, is a manager with top end Championship experience (just like NW) but with a modern, continental approach to coaching and tactics. We have to seriously look forward and upwards.

Good points. My counter argument though, would be Ainsworth has been with Wycombe for a lot longer period than Jones was at Luton.

Ainsworth has shown he could go to a club with a limited budget, steady the ship and progress, playing a nice style along the way. It has taken him time at Wycombe and he deserves an opportunity, for me at least.

See he is doing a good job at wycombe. What style and type of football does he play and formation?

its the Wycombe board and fans that showed loyalty... its just been proved that loyalty no longer exists here...it used to

a 12 game run with zero wins and still had a job...

I will attempt this without a Google search. I think he was here for 6 months, and in roughly 2002. Same team as John Robinson?

Since 2014 his win percentage is 43%. All things considered, that is pretty good.

its lower leagues..and quite a bit short of who has just left..
but my point was more ,having seen the meltdown here how would 9 defeats and a draw go down..we haven't had a run like that for years and years not even in the prem...

In the same period of time, Warnock win percentages:
Cardiff - 43%
Rotherham - 25%
QPR - 50%
C. Palace - 17%

43% Win percentage over roughly 5 years is a good record, especially at a club like Wycombe with a small budget.

Definitely worth a look at. Plus he still loves our club and our fans.
