FAO Neil & Sharon Warnock

Mon Nov 11, 2019 7:13 pm

I am composing this message to you both, as I believe Sharon was instrumental in Neil coming here in the first place. My 1st game watching Cardiff was in April 1968 (7th Birthday!!), and ever since that time I had been waiting to see us in the top division which obviously was Division 1 before the Prem. When we went up 1st time, I didn't go once to see us in the big league due to my views on the rebrand etc, (No hard feelings to VT by the way, as I now think he is the bollocks). I honestly believe that you have pulled this club together, and dragged us back from so much in-fighting that could have seen us spiral downwards and out of control.

I will forever be grateful to you that I seen my team in the Premier League in blue, as without you I don't think it would have ever happened in my lifetime. You have embraced our club and more importantly us as fans. Personally I think the time is right Neil, but in my opinion you will go down as the best manager (well you and Eddie May :D ) I have seen at this club in over 50 years of watching some absolute shit. I could express my opinion on some of your purchases, but that is not for today. I would just like to say a massive thank you to you both, and always remember these 3 letters.... F.T.J. !!!

Great post and sums much of my own and no doubt thousands of others. The 2sr time in premiership wasnt city it was ot our bluebirds.

However the only thing I wanted was my club back. Neil has delivered this and one for which I am so grateful. My passion for the club due to the rebrand was broken and simply.not there anymore. It's taken time but thank you neil for everything you were pivotal...best wishes to you and sharon always welcome back...legend

Thank you so so so much.

Thank you for saving us from a relegation to league 1 that looked inevitable when you took over. Thank you for miracle of that promotion season when everyone wrote us off. Thank you for going so close to pulling off what would of been the greatest of all escapes in the premier league. Thank you for the class and dignity you showed during the Emiliano Sala tragedy. Thank you for that victory at Old Trafford. But most of all thank you for making our club feel like us again.

I'm so sorry some of us forgot all these and turned against you in recent weeks.

The greatest manager I've ever seen at Cardiff. Thank you Sir Neil.

Forever a Bluebird!

Agree completely with the posts here. Neil will go down as the best city manager ever (certainly in my lifetime) what he has done on and off the pitch has been nothing short of incredible and he has done it with a smile and sometimes a snarl but always representing us as fans. He said ‘my kind of club my kind of people’ when he arrived, well Neil if you read this , ‘you’re our kind of man and our kind of manager.’

All the best with whatever you do next

Thank you for everything

It is so sad to see Neil go, but I guess all good things come to an end at some stage.

Great OP as I feel that Sharon was pivotal in Neil coming to us, thank you so much Sharon.

Definitely the best Manager in my 40+ years of supporting the boys, and that takes some doing when you think of the likes of Eddie and Frankie.

We were sinking faster than a lead balloon, divided, disjointed, rudderless and fighting amongst ourselves. Then up steps the messiah, totally out of the BLUE. From Day 1 he understood the club, he understood the fans and he knew how to get the best out of the Senior Management and players. He nailed it from top to bottom.

Sir Neil, you are one of the very few people who deserves the title "Legend in their own lifetime". Thank you so much for all that you have done for us......the appreciation goes beyond words. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
