A new manager needed yes. And I am happy about that. It’s the right decision for so many reasons.
But more importantly, we need an experienced man, who knows the European Leagues working closely with VT, KC and MD to advise on drawing up a shortlist . That know how and judgement is vital right now, and I fear we don’t have that in the board room. This is a vital appointment, I believe in the next few seasons we have the potential to be a Bournemouth, Brighton, Burnley, Sheffield Utd. That’s why I think it’s my preference, to get such a figurehead in upstairs, get Bellamy in as caretaker TIL the seasons end and give him a go with another experienced guy as a no2, meanwhile the new man upstairs can sound out potential candidates for the summer if Craig doesn’t work out. Personally I feel he will surprise a few and do well.
Whoever takes over, I hope it’s a more fluid attacking style with plans B and C, instils extra focus on the academy and a couple of Welsh players and is a good dealer in the transfer windows. They will have a tough job though with this strange unbalanced slow ball watching squad.
Oh for a return to the Dave Jones squad, really loved watching so many of his signings , I can’t say that about any of Neils sadly.
