Our fans have gone soft

Sun Nov 10, 2019 3:11 pm

A derby game for heavens sake.. no passion from the fans, a walk in the park for Bristol..
Can’t blame it all on the team, fans were rubbish at Jackland and again today against the Wiurzels.
Time for the fans to pipe up, not just when we winning.

It's hard to be vocal when the football is so shocking maybe the players on pitch earning 5-10-15 k a week show a bit of passion and pride instead of moaning about the fans

How about the team giving us something to get us going, there was no passion no fight in either game.

Club team and fans just seem to be going through the motions. Its only November FFS .was like an end of season game .

How isn't it a excuse the derbys have highlighted how bad we are people are beindthe team but since August we have been awful all season from players on pitch to warnock it's like they going through the motions its poor

Sunday morning is a terrible time for any match, even worse for a derby. If that game was Friday night it wouldn’t have been completely different.....

Its Not The Fans Fault That The Team Are Lacking The Effort In Big Derby Matches, Sadly I Always Think That The Fans Are The Main Vocal Voice For The Team And If There Is No Fight On The Pitch They Will Keep Quiet Because There Is No Urgency From The Players.

Have to say that anyone blaming the players today for a lack of atmosphere that has been there for some time now, is deluded

The team battled and could/should have been a couple up by half-time and certainly by the time they scored what was an excellent goal to win any game

Some people need to look inwardly rather than trying to blame the players for their own lack of care and passion

I got to agree our fans this year have been quiet compared to last year

Re: Our fans have gone soft

Let’s be honest we played the same football the year we went up but we were winning that’s the difference teams are not surprised any more

lol what a load of garbage the football all season has been poor the diff is the 2 derbys have highlighted what's shown all season theres nothing there its surprising it's a warnock team because it looks like teams going through the motions its pathetic where this season has there been a game when you can say for 100% we have deserved to win theres maybe been one the diff between the fans and players fans earn ruffle 10-20k a year it's hard to watch a team of players who earn 10-20 k a week or what ever play like that warnock with the same excuses game after gameit's not as if it's a one on its constant

Do people think Bristol shower more passion? I don't personally. Thought they struggled for large periods of the game.

The difference in the end was there long range shot dipped under the post and our two hit the most.

I don't think it has anything to do with pack of passion.

Atmosphere was absolutely shite. Same against the jacks as well. I think the fans are fed up with what they are seeing. There isn’t a feel good factor around the club at all. Relegation, poor transfers, shite football, sala case etc. There is nothing positive happening with the club.

I wasn't able to make the game! Trains were either too early or too late, and i couldn't;t get past the City Centre traffic

We were outplayed in both games, and lost to better sides.

Chemistry is reciprocal, so are vibes. I think the players go out knowing they’re going to be outplayed, which isn’t very nice for them. Saying that, I thought Nelson, Bacuna, and Pack played well. We were done by skill for the goal, but that’s what it’s all about. A draw was probably fair, but credit to their Manager, he’s done well there.

Hard to get excited and vocal with crap football, no speed in out play. Feels like we away playing away every home time.

Hard to get excited when our wingers hardly try to get past their man

Agree, a draw would have been a fair result. Thought Junior H was MOTM, he made mistakes but he was always looking to get the ball, unlike others.

Bristol fans wasnt exactly loud either in fact for 2k they were probably amongst quietest away fans this season except for goal...

Agree with the OP. I can only assume that our fans think we have a given right to win every game as the singing is limited when we’re losing, which is ironically when the players need us the most. Kaaardiff! :ayatollah:

100% agree...I doubt their manager would have made the warriors remark had we been a soft touch...and all the stats prove we were not a soft touch...
people saying it was a poor game..i get...but 2 teams going through the motions it was not..

Not sure what game rumpo kid was at but he clearly didn't see the game I saw. Bristol scored a very good goal with one of their few shots at goal and the defeat was not down to a lack of effort. The stats show that we were in control of most aspects of the game and were very unlucky when we hit the woodwork twice with shots very similar to the one that Bristol scored from. I agree with many about the way we normally play but yesterday we were the better team over all. What it did show is that our system of play doesn't break down defences often enough to give our front man very many goal scoring opportunities and when we do we don't have a goal scorer capable of taking them.
