Lee Johnson: "Unpopular opinion: I quite like Neil Warnock.

"First of all I do respect the jobs that he's done across his career. Over the last couple of years I've definitely got to know him better, obviously from being a Championship manager and talking to him after games, meeting him at reserve games - discussing various things - and various situations like that.

"Look, for a coach like myself, if you take the rivalry aside from the Severnside Derby then it's interesting to pick the brains from any successful manager.



"And one thing that Neil Warnock has been at Championship level is successful. Given the fact that we've got three ex-players of ours playing from Cardiff - Flint, Pack and Tomlin - there's common ground there and common connection.

"It'll be interesting. It's obviously not about me and Neil Warnock but the fans having a good day and the team's performance and the performance of the individuals and us going to get a result at a place that's a difficult place to go and get a result."

That's the closest the gaffers gonna get to a compliment off him given the fact that his brand of football hasn't exactly blown us away.

Warnock has said in the past that Lee Johnson reminds him of himself.

Seems to be a mutual respect between the two managers.

I think Lee is a better manager than his Dad was.

Lee Johnson in my opinion is not a great manager, how he’s survived at Bristol city is beyond me, like his old man another poison dwarf/midget they must have something on the Bristol city chairman.
Bristol is the largest city in England that has not been in the Prem.
Although we are really poor they will do f**k all this season as usual there manager will bottle it and the chairman shits his pants at the thought of the premier league wages

he has kept Bristol involved at the top end of this league all while selling players year on year
