Not quite sure why so many football fans are surprised at Leicester City being where they are this season.
Brendan Rodgers is a top manager, even if he was a Jack.
They have quality players. Vardy, Maddison, Perez, Tielemans, Ndidi are all top players. You would even say Demarai Gray, who is normally a substitute, is a great player.
They don't have to compete in Europe like other clubs.
With the quality they have, lack of European football, along with the manager, they should be competing to finish in the top four.
We saw tonight that they are a better team than Arsenal - and I'd say they're better than Man Utd and Spurs at the moment as well.
I think a top four of Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Leicester looks very likely right now.
Would probably say that Liverpool get their title this year.

A club with whom we've had many games with in recent years and like ourselves have had tragedy
But they've built grown and become formidable we alas like usual continue to flounder.

Definitely a club we should aspire to emulate. And such not unrealistic.
Similar sized city and stadium, no great tradition and a highly successful rugby side there too.
Current side superb and as sky pundits pointed out how many Arsenal players would get into the Leicester side. Not many. Same applies to Man Utd too.
And they've moved on Maguire, Kante and Mahrez for a few quid. They've handled transfers out brilliantly to ensure they receive full value, even when Mahrez was restless.

you need a lot going for you. somehow they managed to turn a nailed on relegation into title winning form with 9 games to go under Pearson...changed manager , spent very little and continued that form throughout the following season...how do you emulate that ?
I think our best chance came and went when Tan gave Malky all that money after winning promotion..

Tend to agree although I feel Malkys only mistake was Cornelious which was a massive one.
Wolves are another club that have done well over the last decade just like Leicester. Both clubs dropped into League one, were bought out and now look at them both. Unlike us who have been bought out, risen to the top league but failed to remain there due to one wasting a budget on a striker and 2 not going again with a similar budget. Will Tan go again if we get there again?

The Cornelius mistake surely pales into insignificance compared to the combined effect of Madine, Glatzel, Flint, Vassel, Vaulkes, Bacuna and Murphy.
Leicesters recruitment has been top drawer. Kante, Maguire, and Mahrez all gone but Maddison, Chilwell and others recruited for money we could have afforded. Its also about how you play them and let them play and in that regard there is simply no comparison between Rogers and Sir Neil.
