Murphy & Glatzel don’t have character

Neil Etheridge cost us nothing
Hoilett cost us nothing
Bamba cost us nothing

Neil Warnock signed those 4 players with a combined payment of £0. Let’s go back to those transfer regime. Where we pay very little or nothing at all on players who Warnock has a gut feeling on. Look at Glatzel, Murphy and Reid. Thank god we sold Reid imo, but we still have a lot of money tied up in Glatzel and Murphy and frankly they're not Cardiff “type” players, they don’t show much commitment and energy, they haven’t shown quality consistently enough to warrant the price tag, and not only that, but we have signed Murphy to play in the premier league at the end of the day. Murphy can’t even cut it in the championship, never mind the premier league.

Warnock needs to speak to people he knows and trusts, and listen to his gut instincts in January. He can’t put pressure on himself and the players by throwing money at a player and expecting them to be a gem in the championship. If they cost a lot, my guess is that they can’t be that good if they’re accepting a transfer to the championship to play. Whereas I think we have a better history with lower league players who have something to prove and have a genuine backstory who can show character during rough games. We currently have too many players who don’t show any character for us, that’s why we won our last game, because the players with character and genuine energy and ability played for us last week, and the bottlejobs like Murphy & Glatzel were nowhere to be seen.

That’s where we’ve gone wrong. Signing players who don’t want to play for our club, they just wanna play for themselves and pick up a high wage.
