Need to lose NW before can start anything! At moment the club is totally dysfunctional when it comes to youth development because normally all levels play same system from 16 to 1st team, unfortunately that cannot happen with NW as it's a system unique to 1st team ... when he goes time for total overhauling of club and way team plays

its exactly the same as signing players from other clubs..

Warnock is well known for not going for youth players so the "if we had players good enough the manager would pick them" excuse wont work.

Maybe we should be grateful there aren't any youngsters knocking on Sir Neils first team door and hope the academy is full of ball playing footballers instead who will be good enough for our future. I doubt it very much but its preferable to thinking they are not good enough just because Sir Neil doesn't think so.

BTW, this is not really of Sir Neils making as the lack of academy talent coming through predates his time here. Are Dalman and Choo interested? Let alone Tan.

it predates everyone mate..
only three Welshmen took part for ourselves in the 1927 final. historically the area produces fantastic footballers but not in any sort of numbers if it did the national side would have benefitted at some point..
we had a sort of golden period with Collins, Earnie, Rambo, ledley etc and I think that's been taken out of context as the norm.

blake was quite a bit before. but even if you include him and Dibble { might have missed one } that's only 8 players good enough for this level in 40 years..

I did mean Darcy and not Nathan. There is also the Hughes boy from Penarth who is forging out a league career without ever figuring for us.
