When we were down to 10 men

Mon Nov 04, 2019 5:03 am

To me it seemed we actually started looking for the ball on the feet, rather than the lump it long to no chance striker. And we actually played some nice stuff and even scored but what was even more impressive was the fact we looked like we had 11 as they struggled in stages to get the ball back of us. So my point is why? WHY are we not adapting to this tactic from the 1st minute with 11 men?

Agreed gwentblue.

The lack of an, isolated, striker up top to attempt to hit from 50 yards definitely worked in our favour.

Maybe we can start with ten and then bring Tomlin on after half an hour as our eleventh.

agree
so much for having footballers that only suit one style and can not play...

Hopefully we get to find out, and without having to be down a man.

Warnock will revert to what has got him success mate.. but if your an apprentice mechanic and your boss tells you to hit it with a hammer and you do, it doesn't mean you don't know how to fix it, it just means your listening to your boss.

Which I guess is why managers get the sack and take the responsibility for their decisions.

The apprentices mate who stopped hitting it with a hammer, used a wrench and fixed the problem well before the boy still hammering away is a loose cannon and should be sent out on loan forthwith.

I honestly would love to believe it but can't see Warnock switching to possession style. It will be lumped to madine or bogle and isolated from players in support

I said as much on another thread a few weeks back, we have players who, when the shackles are released, ie when we have to chase the game,we have shown we can play decent football. :old: :bluebird:

All we need is a manager with the knowledge of those type of tactics or be willing to use them tactics
