Nigel Farage

Sun Nov 03, 2019 12:12 pm

Is this guy for real - Not standing in the election.

Thinks he better supporting his MPs than standing in his own right.

Does he deserve anymore air time ?

Re: Nigel Farage

Sun Nov 03, 2019 1:01 pm

Doesn’t want another loss on his record.

And people think he wants what’s best for them

Re: Nigel Farage

An odious coward - unelectable and he knows it. His gravy train also continues if Brexit doesn't happen....

Re: Nigel Farage

This has about killed of any Brexit chances.

depends on what your views on Brexit are..?

one things for sure if they { Brexit party } stand in every seat they will take enough votes of the tories without actually winning the seat { as they did in the Brecon by election } to STOP Brexit.

think this might be phase 1

Re: Nigel Farage

Sun Nov 03, 2019 8:58 pm

He’s sold me and many others a big pack of Brexit lies. He doesn’t believe in it.

He doesnt need to be a MP
He can still be prime minister as he will be voted as leader of the brexit party

Nope
You decide who the MPs are then the party decide on a leader. That person does not necessarily have to be a MP. He can be elected as a minister or even be a representative of the house of lords.

Technically that’s correct but “ the monarch appoints as prime minister the person most likely to command the confidence of the House of Commons”. It would be very difficult, if not impossible, for an unelected person to command the confidence of the Commons.

Bottom line is that Farage is a coward. He’s failed to win a seat in 7 attempts so can’t face that failure again.

But he is and still will be after the election a elected MEP. Given we are still in the EU that will be motion enough to allow him to take control, he would then have 6 months to become a MP in his own right through a Bi-election

He is being quite clever not standing really, this election is going to be a massive wake up call to a lot of current MPs who will lose there jobs after the discusting way they have treated a democratic vote of the people

Agree. They took us for mugs lied to us won the leave vote then they all disappeared. They had no plan no guts no leadership. They took me for a fool. I should never have been asked to make a decision on something I know very little on. It wasn’t fair. The mps sheeted they response abilities to represent and make decisions on our behalf.

If you believe that you’ll believe anything !!

What if the bi-election is in a seat that is a safe seat for any other party !!?? He won’t win it again !!

Nobody in their right mind would base their strategy on winning a bi-election, you don’t even know when it will happen.

Farage even defied convention and stood against the Speaker of the House in election and still couldn’t beat that one other candidate!!

He’s bottled it as he thinks if he loses it will finish him.

I've always been a supporter of farage but i think its time to back boris ,we wanted a free trade agreement, we needed an orderly withdrawal which boris deal gives without the irish backstop trap i think its time to move on to the next phase

Re: Nigel Farage

This is a General Election rather than a Brexit referendum, and there are plenty of other things on the table, not just leaving the EU. I think as far as a General Election is concerned where the winner could be running the country for well into the 2020's, the Brexit Party becomes almost as irrelevant as Plaid Cymru.

You think Farage doesn't believe in Brexit? I detest the horrible little man but why do you think he no longer believes in Brexit? It's all he lives for is to get the UK out of Europe!
A one trick pony who doesn't care about you or me, or our children, or our health service, or our schools or homes or our communities or our jobs or our rights, or the obscene inequality in our society. He only cares about immigration and getting out of Europe....as if those two things alone will solve all the problems we face as a country. Like many politicians throughout history he is using a right wing press to brainwash ordinary people by turning them against foreigners. It's one of the oldest tricks in the book and seems to work every time. Tell the proletariat that foreigners are stealing their jobs, their homes, their school places, their hospital services, then sit back and watch the nastiness unfold.
Without overseas workers, not just our NHS but many other basic services would be fucked. People need to open their eyes and think for themselves rather than listen to the vile stuff spouted by the right wing press.

be a pretty good idea to change the record mate...this idea that those who voted remain are more clued up and generally more intelligent is not true.
you actually think ordinary people have not figured out our hospitals rely on overseas workers ?

I don't understand these people who think they have superior intelligence because they voted remain. Personally, I think Mervyn King is a very intelligent man. You don't spend ten years as governor of the Bank of England unless you have a brain. I have no doubt he is more intelligent than most of us who use this forum. For those who think only "remainers" have a brain, it is worthwhile reading his views on the subject. Not many people in this country are more clued up on British finances, or for that matter international finance. Loads of material on the internet about Mervyn King and Brexit, and I'm sure he makes some very valid points.

There are clever and stupid people on both sides of the debate. I merely pointed out that Farage doesn't care about ordinary folk. Like many before him he's using a nasty right wing press to convince many that all our ills are down to immigration and control from Europe. If you want to put a spin on what I said it's up to you, but I think I was pretty clear in my depiction of what Farage cares about and what he doesn't care about.

Whether you like farage or not ,he has worked in the European parliament for quite a while he has seen things that go on that over the years we don't even hear about, and yes he has told them our fears of what Europe is becoming and they haven't listened, and as for him being a racist is rubbish, he's a patriot there's a difference, people have tried to kill him in the past ,like cutting his brake pipes on his car and loosening his wheel nuts yet it's hardly reported in the press, they tell lies all the time about him ask yourself why .

When I voted leave I voted for leave. Not leave with a deal that kept as in a bit. And now Norris has decided to not allow us to finish what we started how dare he not give us a vote to decide to accept or reject his deal.

Leave means leave.
