Thought his tactics and player choice was spot on today

Credit where it's due would rather have warnock than not.

Does need to attack teams from start but got it right today

Like I said on another topic, I haven't changed my mind from last week.

We know we can get results at home, that's been happening all season so far. Even though after those first 20 minutes, we were lucky to just be the one goal down.

He is incapable of getting this team to get a result in away games this season. That much is obvious.

He has done a great job in three years, and we're all really grateful for that. Getting us to the Premier League was a fantastic achievement and we gave a good fight in trying to stay up, even if we ultimately failed.

But as is the case with every manager at every club, there comes a time when they should move on.

In my opinion, that time is now for Warnock.

Not that I think it will happen.

The problem is the way we set up away from home more than anything.

Last week I wasn't against a change to be honest, although didn't actively say it. I think this squad is a bit of a mess and an expensive one at that but unless things got work it's logical to stick with Warnock to review come the new year.

I really like Warnock and would love him to complete the season.

How can you say he got it right IF we could’ve been beaten out of sight in first 30 mins

Re: Warnock In

I still believe he can't take us any further, however who and when he is replaced we need to get it right.

Re: Warnock In

He stays till May but we must tie Chris Houghton down for next season. WARNOCK already said it's his last season.

Re: Warnock In

Chris Houghton.. that’d knock about 3,000 off ST’s next year

I don't get the Hughton obsession personally.

When the manager leaves, Gareth Ainsworth would be my number one choice.

Some good points well made. I agree with what you’ve said. Squad wise I think we’re really lacking in the centre of the park but I’d like to see Warnock stay until the end of the season at least. If we can stay close to the playoffs then a couple of shrewd acquisitions in January could get us firing in the second half

I still believe he has prob the next 5 games,if we haven't improved by then, then it may well be time for new blood,as I've said,I have nothing but admiration for Neil Warnock, and what he has done here,it's been an amazing turn around, perhaps I like him too much? Really wouldn't want him boo'd from the club that's for sure. :old: :bluebird:

You think us being 14th and teams such as Bristol in 6th and the jacks in 2nd place is acceptable?

I don't.

Beat Bristol on the weekend and we are one point behind them. The season lasts a lot longer than the beginning of November. It's where we are next Spring that counts.

I don't get the Hughton obsession personally.

When the manager leaves, Gareth Ainsworth would be my number one choice.

Or the obsession with many other so-called 'names' currently out of work and looking for jobs mainly because they've failed elsewhere

City will be at a huge crossroads (assuming Neil Warnock doesn't decide or is convinced by others to remain) at the end of this season and maybe before

At that point (planning should already have started) they will need to decide three things...

What do they want to achieve?

What style do they want to achieve it in?

How seriously will they take it?

Only then can they decide on the typestyle and stature the man they bring in. i.e. a hungry young manager/coach looking to make a name for himself (the cheaper option but more of a gamble) or an experienced and established coach with a track record for success (the more expensive but stable option)

Personally, I'll back any new manager initially but would prefer the experienced option and would be averse to someone like Sam Allardyce; although I can't see that happening on two grounds, (i) he would be expensive, and (ii) he would make a Neil Warnock team look like Real Madrid!

Doe she end justify the means?

It's a personal choice but as Neil Warnock is finding out, the majority of supporters at our club (and likely most others) will accept any style that's a winning formula but not so when the going gets tough (even for a while)

So many up and coming managers

Not sure which manager can work with a Warnock squad and turn them into an attacking outfit fit for promotion challenge

Re: Warnock In

This could be a weekly thread, he will get results we are not doomed. It’s just the football is awful and the squad is very poor. For me its a case of get someone in now to start building for next season. I wouldn’t trust Warnock with another window. However we are only 2 or 3 quality players from being contenders. He doesn’t have to spend big money to get quality. His best signings have been the ones who didn’t cost the earth.

True but last week it was Warnock out brigade

We'd be changing msnagers event time we lost with some of our fans

Four points from the play offs, seven from being top, and four goals yesterday. Still well in the mix, and too early to see where we are heading. I'm afraid anyone who thought we would be the league's outstanding team this season was always going to be in for a bit of a shock.

Yes,I know that dog, maybe I have jumped the gun a bit!, last Sundays debacle hit hard for me,but I believe we need to continue with a few more wins,we are also not safe from being dragged downwards either yetlet's hope the brum game is our turning point  ward getting sent of doesn't help though :banghead: at least on occasions a forced change can be the catalyst for whoever comes in (bogle?)have had a tough year so far,and the football usually distracts me,at least the egg has lightened my mood (poor old english :laughing5: )I will be behind neil regardless, just wouldn't like him to go,under a cloud so to speak.I will revert to my usual positive posting, and as I have told others in the past. last week was OTT. especially the poll that went up immediately after a derby defeat..
people should be careful what they wish for .
jokanovic..the only bloke who pays a fiver for pegs in poundland..
Ainsworth.. who tbh I quite like the idea of next season ..but had a 19 game run last season that contained 13 defeats...jeez imagine how OBVIOUS it would have been to some how useless he must be.

Re: Warnock In

Mon Nov 04, 2019 9:16 am

He was forced to play Nelson who.. after a tricky start.. played well showing composure, pace and passing that eludes the flint/Morrison pairing.

Let's also remember we have zero cover at left back and only unfit players coveribg at right back. We played a centre back at right back for the last few years.

Our striker situation is absolutely abysmal. No natural goalscorers at the club. The one we did have would get dropped in the EPL after scoring and never had a decent run and was happy to leave due to our hoofball tactics. A 6million pound striker who has never scored for us can't even make the squad.

And the kind of huff and puff football we play is very limited and doesn't lend kindly for bringing in any youth or younger players who will get spoiled in a first team that can hardly string a few passes together

And despite all this.. we have an excellent home record and only a few players and combibations away from addressing these issues.... I'm just not sure whether that will happen with Warnock at the moment. His approach and experience when taking over crisis clubs is beyond comparison.. But we are not that club anymore.
