Sir Alex Ferguson claims that one of his biggest mistakes was announcing his plans to retire because it gave his players an excuse to slack off. Has Warnock made the same mistake and if so, can it be rectified? (Spoiler: I don’t know)

It is something that has already been mentioned...but also...has Neil Warnock also lost that bit of a spark....he is approaching 71...the Sala Tradegy no doubt affected him....may be he has lost a little something ?

I don't think its the best idea in the world to be announcing your retirement a year in advance .

but what I will say is , where NW differs from Fergie is that he has been threatening retirement for a dozen years..
personally I didn't take it as if it was written in stone when he said it...
