Craig Bellamy

Not a big fan of craig but I think he is what Cardiff city needs right now a home grown player who actually gives a f**k about this club and is not just using it for wages till the end of the season . Bringing him back with his passion for Cardiff and his never say die attitude is what I think Cardiff need even it is just stability for the rest of season but surely it’s worth a gamble rather than watching this shit for the rest of the season

I'll say it again like I've said loads before. What has Craig Bellamy ever done to make you think that he'd be a good manager for us?

He's a Liverpool fan not Cardiff.
He told the Canton Stand supporters to F off after scoring for us.
He struggled to coach at our youth level.
Struggling to coach at Anderlecht.
You see passion, I see hothead. Don't confuse the two.
Very similar to Roy Keane, very knowledgeable and always have something to say, but does not translate into man management.

If you want passion, look no further than Neil Warnock. I cant name anyone with more passion for the game than him.

Nail on the head, he's a little bell end. Used Cardiff for wages and playing time, he's a plastic Scouser.

And Warnock is a Blade through and through. So what? Passion? There’s was zero of that yesterday, a Derby game, beggars belief. Bellamy is proud to be from Cardiff, I loved seeing him play for us, always trying to get the best out of his team mates. Oh for a player of his ability, passion and welsh blood in this current joke of a squad. And yes I would like to see him involved in a future management team. I tell you this, he would have had a fired up team out there yesterday, kicking every ball, and having flair players playing his kind of football, give me that over Warnockball any day if the week, dinosaur football no more!

So we replace the league's most experienced manager with someone who has virtually no experience at all. What happens if he loses 4 out of 14 games as Warnock has done season to date. No doubt fans will be back demanding he goes and be replaced by someone else. Proves how fickle some of our fans are, runners up last time in this division, yet 4 defeats in 14 and it's all doom and gloom. The season is 46 games long, not 14. Four games from now we could be in or around the play offs. If we continue to show no signs of improvement, Warnock is experienced enough to know when to call it a day.

If it's passion you want I'll give it a crack. Actually have a love for Cardiff and am not (quite) as much of a bell end

Well his cv must be awesome because he nearly got the welsh job only just pipped by giggs so he must have all his coaching badges and now he’s at anderlect being wasted get home give till the end of season and see what he can do what we got to lose we keep playing like we are and our fans will stop coming simple as that . The football being played is shit and it isn’t getting any better .

I agree that changing Neil for a rookie is risky, Bellamy could be groomed however for a future role, and be involved with a new team. He was a gutsy, hungry attack minded handful of a player, and am sure thats what he would install into a team of his, where the f**k was that yesterday?

You describe Warnock as the leagues most experienced manager. True.

And with that label, has over 3 and a half seasons, spent millions on assembling a squad that is as bad as any I have witnessed in my 30 years of watching us. Yesterday proved that kind of experience counts for nothing in the modern game. A South Wales derby FFS.

Experience? Do me a favour, Flynn, Howe, Lampard not much experience there, and are blossoming, they wouldn't have delivered that shower of shite to us yesterday. Bellamy certainly wouldn't have. A humiliation. Top bloke Neil, a great guy, but a relic of a football brand.

As bad a squad as you have seen in 30 years?

Really?

Re: Craig Bellamy

Tue Oct 29, 2019 5:27 pm

i love bellers more than anyone as a player but if we are going to replace such an experienced manager then the change needs to be in the attitude NOT the level of experience.

there are many managers out of a job with more experience. and quite a few that would leave their current jobs to come to the city.

personally, i'd say bring in flynn, if it doesnt work you know cewnty would have him back in a heartbeat anyway so no risk. But that is IF we have to get a new manager, which i'm not completely convinced of yet

we have finished 21st and 22nd in the bottom tier during that time... :o :o

over reaction times a gazzilion..

but the real shock is not that a person thinks this type of stuff but 80% seem to .

Re: Craig Bellamy

Tue Oct 29, 2019 6:15 pm

Compare the money spent on this squad to those squads that finished 21st and 22nd in the lower tiers. So I stand by that. I would be very nervous playing a Newport County Or similar side from those tiers right now. Considering we have a “legend” and super experienced manager with millions of pounds spent with modern stadia, I wonder how this side would match up against those past sides. For a start I would be suprised if it wasn’t a a poor scrappy Game and not a pushover For today’s team.

Fact is, we are having these debates , conversations, digging deep with reasons and excuses, quoting the past etc when quite simply our legend manager doesn’t know his best team, formation or which of his slow rigid tactics to use. They are his players, he is responsible for these performances. And he leaves in 7 months. I like and respect Neil, I wish he was having success and playing good football, he isn’t. I wish him well but I don’t want another 7 months of this football. Because it will be a nightmare for the next manager to ship these players out if they don’t fit a new playing style (I hope) We start now, give the new man January to start rebuilding, that way next summer will be more about focusing on new blood rather than shipping out the old.
