I thought Morrison was excellent, and Peltier was solid, The rest were fecking terrible in particular Etheridge (distribution hit a new level of awful today), Bennett (ball watches all the time), Pack (slow and passing was shite), Ralls (Awful at everything today), Mendez, Whyte, Glatzel, Ward all anonymous. Oh and Paterson on the wing is a laugh and not in a good way. The fact these players earn between 10-30k a week and cant pass a football makes me sick and the Manager deserves to get stick for clearly not training them to play in patterns or get them to work on set moves in play, its just kick and hope for the best, pathetic.

We can play football but if tactics are not allowing players to look forward we look awful... today prime example we played the football facing our own goal never looked like troubling their defence never mind goalkeeper!

I think we can play,as we always seem to switch on when chasing the game,it's just they can't play to this style,to them imho it's gone stale.there wasn't an ounce of fight in them after going a goal down Sunday, no plan b,should give a days wages to local charities as Southampton players and staff have done.

a week ago today I went to Millwall, we played well ..I have 20/20 vision am not deluded but most importantly i watch more than 1 game a season.

when it works and we win people accept it ,if we are not winning its meltdown. very little changed long term on Sunday we had a patch around xmas in our promotion year where for 4 games it was very difficult to see where the next point was coming from with performances every bit as poor ,it will change..its what you get with Neil.

Yes, we knew what we were getting as soon as he was appointed, and he was a popular choice with the majority of fans. Didn't hear many complaining when we were promoted, and the type of football played was very similar to this season. With Warnock already having achieved a record number of promotions, he is hardly likely to change his tried and tested methods. Not easy on the eye, but as I said, we all knew what to expect.

Wasn't easy to watch Rumpo, but I suppose if you are towards the top of the league, a bit easier to accept. We have been very disappointing so far this season, but we have plenty of time to turn things around. I think replacing Warnock right now would be a very risky thing to do. A new manager would need time to bed in, we probably don't have the players who would suit a lot of managers tactics and style of football, and could end up being drawn into a relegation fight by the time the next transfer window arrives. I think Warnock will either take us towards the play off places, or if that fails, he will walk away with the club in relative mid table safety, making sure that his successor is not immediately having to fight against relegation.

he played corned beef football at Rotherham , corned beef football at Leeds and was welcomed with open arms along with his corned beef football here...and every single fan knew full well what was coming and it was not filet mignon yes we play decent in patches but its mostly like watching an episode of land of the giants with steve backely thrown in ,...been this way since day 1 , now its Warnock out ..not for 4 defeats on the spin or a 5 nil thumping but because corned beef actually tastes like corned beef.. un believable tbh..

He was the man the majority of our fans wanted, and most of us were happy when Tan got his man. Not much point in moaning about the football and all this hoofball stuff, anyone who follows the game knew what was coming. Fair enough complaining that our results are not going as we hoped, but the actual football is going along the lines we knew it would. A few goals and a few wins, and the critics will be off his back for a while. If there is no improvement with results, I think we can guess what will happen next, but no guarantees a new manager will do any better. Only two managers have taken us to the top flight in over half a century, and I have seen more than 30 managers come and go.

well for me .I wanted him as manager { there have been times in the past I did not } so therefore ive bought into how bad it looks when you lose. and results have to be worse than this for me to be calling for his head. I remember the end of the Scoular years where it was much much worse ..out of the bottom 5 for all of 4 weeks in 2 whole years and 2 of those were after the opening day results...no away win for 2years and 2 months..

Scoular a bit before my time.. I started regular when RM was manager. I think one thing that magnifies emotions and intent, are forums like this. When we were struggling late 70s, you had a moan on a Saturday night and a grumble Monday morning.
Now it’s ceaseless. Reading these isn’t really the reality, but a bubble.

Equally, any sensible manager has to look at what opponents are doing and are set up. This is Warnocks current downfall as we have two aerial centre half's who are not good enough against mobile strikers we come up against. Warnockball is bad enough but can be and has been effective but bad Warnockball as we are seeing is desperate.

I don’t often agree with you mate but you’ve summed the current situation up pretty well.

I’ve seen some great attacking, quick and counter type football under Warnock (rarely this season) and when we’re winning his style is good to OK to watch.

However, right now and mostly this season with the poor football and aimless long ball tactics it’s pretty abysmal at times.

the problem is the striker.. Warnocks football is not dependent on the guy up top scoring 20 a season but is dependent on the fella up top winning ball ,being intelligent without the ball and concerning defenders....Glatzel doesn't tick any of those boxes ..and I believe having signed half a dozen forwards and not playing them ,and this one costing 5 mill he is trying to shoehorn him into a system he at best does not suit ,at worse is nowhere near good enough
