I always try to get behind the team for the full 90 minutes and today's South Wales Derby was no exception
Pre-match positivity said that Swansea concede and Cardiff have a habit of scoring late on
The game itself started quite brightly and early Swansea pressure saw Cardiff come into the game more and more. The game became quite even for a while, with neither side really threatening a goal. However, that changed with some poor Cardiff defending that gifted Swansea a goal and from that point they (Swansea) were the more positive and consistent team
HALF-TIME: SWANSEA 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY
The second-half started a little brighter for Cardiff but the attack simply weren't getting the service they required and Cardiff struggled with the tempo of the Swansea midfield.
Changes were made and the ineffective Glatzel was replaced by Omar Bogle before a double change saw Murphy and Paterson come on.
Swansea were forced back a little more but this didn't stop their attacks and Cardiff themselves huffed and puffed without blowing the (proverbial) house down.
As the game closed, Cardiff were forced back into their own half and Swansea were content to see the game out, which sadly they did with some ease.
Current 'bragging rights' to the team from down west and some serious questions to be asked of both manager and players after a battling but overall poor performance that sees Cardiff City anchored in the lower half of the Championship table with a gap opening between themselves and those currently occupying the top six places.
We'll move on from this but disappointment in the end and that will surely be mirrored on here this afternoon
FULL-TIME: SWANSEA 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY
