MY VIEW " IN THE SOUTH WALES DERBY, CARDIFF CITY DESERVED NOTHING MORE THAN THEY GOT "

SWANSEA WERE BY FAR THE BETTER TEAM AND DESERVED THE WIN

Neil Warnock named an attacking side for the South Wales Derby with both Danny Ward and Robert Glatzel starting.

Lee Tomlin missed out through injury, as Nathaniel Mendez-Laing also came into the team.

Etheridge, Peltier, Morrison, Flint, Bennett, Ralls, Pack, Whyte, Mendez-Laing, Glatzel, Ward

Morrison had the match's first shot in the first three minutes but it was straight at Woodman

Mendez-Laing shot well over from distance in the 9th minute. Just after that, Peltier made a great clearance to prevent a certain goal

After a poor clearance from Etheridge, a shot from the halfway line by Celina went wide

Grimes shot over from distance in the 20th minute

GOAL: Swansea City 1-0 Cardiff City. Routledge put a cross in and debutant Ben Wilmot headed in from close range in the 24th minute

Ayew nearly made it 2-0 in the 28th minute but Etheridge tipped wide. From the corner, Ayew headed over

Ralls had a shot blocked in the 31st minute

Swansea hit the bar on the stroke of half time, but it was offside anyway

Poor first half from the Bluebirds, as the hosts took a deserved lead into the break

HALF TIME: Swansea City 1-0 Cardiff City

Flint headed wide in the 47th minute

Etheridge saved Grimes' long range effort in the 54th minute

Celina shot straight at Etheridge four minutes later

Just after that, Bennett made a crucial tackle to stop a certain goal

Bogle replaced Glatzel in the 63rd minute

Woodman saved Morrison's header in the 65th minute

Whyte shot straight at Woodman a minute later

Etheridge tipped Dyer's shot wide in the 70th minute

Ward's touch went wide in the 80th minute

Murphy and Paterson replaced Mendez-Laing and Whyte in the 81st minute

Celina shot straight at Etheridge in the 82nd minute

Ralls then shot well over from distance

Ralls booked in the 85th minute

Routledge shot wide from the halfway line in the 87th minute

Morrison stopped a certain goal in the 92nd minute

FULL TIME: Swansea City 1-0 Cardiff City

My MOTM was Lee Peltier :thumbright:

We are a piss poor outfit, warnock has had money to sign players and pissed it up the wall. Cheerio

This f*cking style of "football" needs to go, just have all defenders and 1 striker because the ball just goes over the midfield anyway

We’ve offered absolutely nothing going forwards, nothing in midfield either.... we lost that on the team selection

The tide has turned with that performance today.

For the first time since he arrived the fans are against Warnock and his position is now under threat.

Getting tired of hoofball... we need to have a change in philosophy altogether. We can be so much better!

Warnock out

4-4-2 rarely works in the modern game that’s why hardly any teams play that system and what a ridiculous time to change it from Warnock.
Time for a change in direction at the end of the season or even before.
Warnock’s day is gone and it’s been like that all season.

No passing

No flair

No attacking

No points

No fight

He surely will walk after the recent displays, something is missing and with all decisions this starts at the top.
Time to step down NW

Never expected us to pick up any points from this game. Worryingly, we have only managed two points from our last three games. My prediction of a top ten finish is starting to look a bit optimistic, but plenty of time to turn things around.

f*cking dire. Second to almost everything and deserved f**k all. Most annoying thing is, they’re f*cking rancid but they wanted it more.

Swansea showed you can still play football with a limited squad

Ned, I managed to watch part of the 2nd half, dreadful performance and no passion or desire.

Sadly the Jacks had that

The club should have been more astute after our relegation.

Who wanted to watch another season of this dire anti football?

They should have snapped Hughton’s hand off to get him here in May with a thanks Neil but you know what the club needs to move on.

Problem is the people in control at the club are in awe of him and are clueless. Dalman in particular. No football knowledge at all.

This is nothing to do with Fight, its tactics and personnel, all selected by Warnock.

Morrison and Flint won't work they are too similar
Whyte isn't good enough
Pack needs more time on the ball to do what he does, hoofball doesn't give him that
Glatzel will take at least a season to show what he can do, if even that is enough
Ward looks like a super sub
Paterson, Boogle are L1 at best
Madine is on the naughty step
Tomlin can barely last a game and the clocks have gone back it that far into the season

Murphy and NML appear to have downed tools

We have a keeper who has the full set except distribution, so that puts us on the back foot as it 50% chance it gets into the right area.

It has the same feel as the end of Russell Slade

Barnsley at home should be a relegation six pointer

Problem is we only have three real flair players in the squad Hoilett Tomlin and Murphy and none of them started so we looked like a hard working but completely agricultural bunch of hoofball merchants who can't even do hoofball verywell. Frankly we were so outfought and outplayed by a limited Swansea side it was embarrassing. Love Neil but maybe it's time to go.

I agree with the summary of all the personnel completely. I would question about it not being about fight as fight and spirit goes a long way. But there's not much of that being shown at the moment either.

The annoying thing is that is all they had.
They were not a good team even though they made us look awful
They were actually pretty poor but they had the passion and energy to fight and win every second ball after our lumps won the first headers from long high balls.

What rubbish. Passing was slick, defending solid, created chances at will and carved through your team on numerous occasions.

What you probably mean is we only finished off 1 of our numerous chances, that's football. Our performance was excellent and some of the individual performances were exceptional to top that off. Ayew is the best player in the league by far, Routledge ran the show and Van der Hoorn was a colossus.

But if it helps you cope with it by saying we were bad too then be my guest, but you won't be fooling anyone. :thumbright:

I don’t know what that means.

I’m just enjoying the reaction. Played off the park in every department against a side who only 1 team in the league has more points than after a third of a season.... and it was because you were just that bad. :laughing6:

Aye, alright.

Because I find the reactions, creation and myths created on here about my club fascinating.

This thread isn’t disappointing on that front :D
