JANUARY - loans noy buys

Wed Oct 23, 2019 12:51 pm

Its obvious we need a few new faces in january, but i for one am praying that we only get loans in.

Usually i would rather have a settled squad. But right now we have a manager who goes for a very specific type of player and wont be here next season. Any manager that comes in is going to want to play differently to NW (as so few managers get that style right in a way that wins promotion/keeps a team up). So, whether we are in the championship or the prem next season, i would rather we gave our next manager as little work to do, in terms of rejigging the squad, as possible.

CONMAJESTY

should we be looking to recruit more players again,?
We had 3 months after crashing out of the prem to assemble a squad, and the word then was, that we where preparing a squad to come straigh back up,
but it all went t.ts up when players starting leaving and then reid did a dirty on us and everybody knows once again neil started signing a winger again, and the other guy from oxford has he played yet? a bit like Cunningham and another striker and it seems that he is struggling in the way we play, we did not spend big even after selling a few players reid zohore, i am afraid we are where we are because of lack of quality signings after all the money we made from the prem, tv payments, parachute payments etc
Personally i don' t care whether loans or buys as long as they are quality.

I find the whole idea that all our players can only play the NW way a bit odd.
they have all been identified as good footballers , recruited by academies , played at various ages through out their academy careers for different coaches , Ralls apart were given league debuts by a variety of even more managers most have been transferred and played for even more managers again before ending up here.
yes he does have a style and brings players into suit ,would be bonkers not to. but some of these can play and did so last night.

We can't/ don't get loans. We have no one currently, must be only club in entire EFL without a loan player.

Our style of play is one thing though PL clubs don't trust our management with their top young players.

I agree with observations that we shouldn't give an outgoing manager with Sir Neils idiosyncracies money to spend but I'd not be optimistic either that loan signings can save our play off chances.
