This sums us up at the moment (Sean Morrison)

It’s 2-2. Warnock is screaming at our players clearly urging them to get the winner and push forward. Morrison competes for a header and wins it but tries to win a foul by going down. We’ve won the ball in an attacking area, we are pushing. Morrison stays down and the referee stops for a head injury. The ref approaches him and he jumps on his feet completely fine. I get the importance of head injury but if you’re a real captain in extra time you’re getting straight up and running in the box. Piss poor from him ontop of every other thing he did wrong last night, and in fact this whole season.

He probably needed a rest as I said earlier he looked injured or fcked for 2nd goal... time he was dropped and give us more mobility at back..

I do not agree with the whole season bit..
but yes I was pretty peed off when he sat up so quickly after the ref stopping the game...will add that I thought the ref was very generous with the bounce ball though.

He has the same lack of awareness when he ambles up to take a long throw. Same one pace and routine regardless of whether we are winning, losing or if its the first minute or the last. How he's our captain is beyond me.

Captain is more than just what’s on the pitch.

But it is THE most important aspect of being a captain...leadership on the pitch. He might be good around the changing room, but it's out on the pitch where he'll be judged.

Clubs often have team captain and club captain two different qualities needed.

There aren't too many other candidates standing out for the role which is a sad endictment of where we are.

To most observers Morrisons cemented place in starting XI should be questioned. The captaincy only becomes an issue when that happens.

Best partnership, imo, we could have had last year was Manga and Bamba but Sir Neils love affair with Morrison combined with lack of a PL quality RB meant that wasnt what happened.

Again, why did we sign Nelson?

Let's all look for a scapegoat then is it??

we signed Nelson as a squad player . you do have to have a squad.
Flint is clearly the man brought in to replace Manga from last years starting 11..
your correct about not having PL quality fullbacks but we were not spending the sort of money to get them..

Sometimes a player may be dazed for a few seconds or longer after a bump.
Consider all possibilities.

Isn’t he playing with a broken wrist or something at the moment?

Might have landed awkward on it.

He’s not one to go down easily

possibly. but it was very frustrating when you have the ball in a dangerous position and the game gets stopped with the clock running out .. even more so when the player then sits up half a second after the whistle is blown . pretty much everyone around me was as frustrated as I was..

I thought he had had taken a blow to the head when he challenged. He was pretty irate as he ran back and said something to the ref about it.

Not sure what you mean about the ref and bounce ball though? We were in possession when he stopped the game hence us restarting with it.
