Awful and have been as a partnership all season!! Cant play together, too slow and cant defend 1 on 1 situations. Surely Warnock has to drop 1 of them and frankly I couldn't care which one, just get Bamba or Nelson in for the Swansea game as those 2 have been f*cking terrible as a partnership this season. Both of them let guys just run through them every game, surely enough is enough. They've cost us so many pts on the road this season.

Morrison needs to be dropped at least flint can play football! Morrison own goal and was poor for 2nd goal.

Is Morrison actually trying??? Makes absolutely no effort to get a challenge in once his man has given him the slip, seems to just stroll about puffing his chest out. At least flint puts a shift in even if limited. We were blessed with Bruno and Bamba

Flint can play football Morrison used to be good in air now he cannot do that right so as lost his usefulness in team.

Arent good enough.
Individually or together, and they've had plenty of time to develop a partnership
Why did we sign Nelson?
Tue Oct 22, 2019 10:14 pm
Why not give Nelson a run in the side, he's Young, must be desperate to play and perform and can he be any worse than Morrison or Flint ?
I realise Bamba is a fan's favourite, who doesn't love him? But he's in his mid 30's, is still recovering from a serious injury and not blessed with pace either. He may never recover and be the player he's been.
It's highly unlikely, although not impossible that we are going to get promoted, but we won't go down and I'd still be pretty confident we could push for the playoffs with Nelson and even Coxe in the side. How will we ever know if they are going to be good enough if we don't play them .

Need to change one down to the fact they both stand off so much, Bamba likes to get stuck in more (which can be a problem at times) and its a bit of balance

Been saying it since we signed Flint!! He's a ready made replacement for Morrison not Manga.
It shocks me that NW keeps scratching his head why we keep conceding soft goals. Football is all about partnerships. Why would you have players with the same strengths and the same weaknesses at CB. Nelson should have been in from the start, at least bamba's back now and will hopefully start on Sunday.
Flip a coin on Morrison or flint. Flint looks more likely to score in the box where Morrison has experience of playing with Bamba so good case for either.

They are both average footballers, with the advantage of being so tall they can head the ball. As for mobility, control and passing..below top championship standard as for premiership, thats a laugh.
Proved they cant play together, just waiting for a goal clanger. We need a faster moving thinking passing sweeper to play in place of one of them.
Why does Morrison who looks a big strong lump, stay down when hes clearly not injured and we are either under pressure or have to give up posession in a good position

Stick Manga at centre half and Camarasa in the hole and we’ll be decent side.

Didn’t feel either were bad last night, both goals could have been defended better out wide.
Had we taken our chances we would have been 5-1 up with 20 to play.

I should add - I need to see the goals again but at the time I felt we got caught napping in wider positions leaving the centre of defence a little exposed. However both centre halves fired into tackles and headers throughout the game and won most.

What? Warnock play Manga in the middle, you’re avin a larf. But seriously, we need Bamba back just for his energy. Having 2 statues at the back is costing us big time.

Both far too slow as a pairing and it’s costing us points. Hopefully Bamba is match fit soon and is still the same player after his injury. I’d be putting him in for Morison ASAP. Flint is better in the air and on the ball. From the games I’ve seen flint is more commanding at the back as well. We all know how much Warnock loves Morrison though so it will probably be Flint who is dropped.

As I've said before, our game management is dreadful. Twice ahead last night and we still couldn't see it out. Swansea appear to have their problems as well.

Both goals were certainly preventable and were conceded by lack of effort to tackle Bradshaw one on left side one on right side of area ! 1st one do not understand why Morrison was going towards goal impeding Etheridge while Bradshaw was comin in unchallenged from side area result ball appeared to hit Morrison and went in dont think it would gone in otherwise! 2nd was a dummy and Morrison didnt react to situation twice he looked either injured or not bothered ... highlighted Morrison for this one as he was nearest player to Bradshaw... but basically having two very slow central defenders is weakening our defence as our left/right backs are unprotected one on one, been same all season and teams are exploiting it

Don't see why people are blaming Morrison for the first goal. There were 2 badly missed tackles before the shot came in, Morrison was not at fault for that one. Unfortunately, there were two badly missed tackles for the second. One of them was Morrison.
Our defence made 2 bad mistakes last night, and were punished for both, on another night we could've been lucky and the striker would've skied the shot as has happened before! Not Bradshaw tho, good striker.
I thought we played well last night, had some good exciting attacking plays.
More of the same with less mistakes, would see us good.

Nelson was highly rated by Oxford fans and is supposed to be quick and mobile by central defender standards he might be a better fit with either Morrison or Flint. Oxford fans also thought Whyte had terrific pace and was very tricky. We seem to have turned him into some hard working auxiliary full back who get forward a bit.Its frustrating how few crosses he gets into the box compared to Hoilett but he seems to be on defensive duties most of the time.Certainly can't fault him for work rate.

Agree with all of this. Though I'd content myself without him having to be a "sweeper". A Roger Johnson type do me. Knows his limitations but can make a 20 yard pass without us all holding our breath.

They looked bad last night, last time we went up it was on the back of a solid defence, so Warnock can definitely put this right. I think he will have to make a change with either Nelson or Bamba coming in, but I doubt he will change it for Swansea, he will just be pointing out the mistakes and maybe getting extra cover from the midfield.
if he can sort that out, we will have a chance of pushing up the table because we are starting to get goals from Hoilett, Ward and Tomlin, so things are starting to look a bit better

This has been an accident waiting to happen! It has reared its head since the start of the season. We all know that players will make mistakes and if they had all the attributes of speed, vision, strength, positioning and ability to play out of defence they would both be playing in the Premier league. I think Mossa got away with it to a certain degree last year with Manga and Bamba around him but that's not the case this year. The lack of pace in our defence is now well known and teams are playing on it, it has to change and if it means that our Club Captain has to be rested then so be it.
I would advocate that Peltier be moved inside ( he has played there some years ago), lets face it the ball may get past him, the player may get past him but never both together, at the end of the day he is our best out and out defender. We could draft either Jazz (remember him) into right back or slid Nelson into right back, all this until the time that Sol is back ready.
Something has to happen

We have been gifting the opposition goals all season. It just shows how much we miss manga and bamba at the back. Morrison looks lost without their cover. No idea why we signed Nelson if he won’t be given a few games in a defence that has leaked goals all season.
